We received a friendly welcome from Hazel with a cup of tea & cake on arrival. The room was very clean and excellent value for the money we paid, the breakfast choice was very good, and nothing was too much trouble for our host. The B&B is situated near a lot of attractions, and eating places for your evening meal... More

It was a little difficult to locate the Stannage but that is a Satnav problem. Comfortable room and very friendly and obliging landlady. Breakfasts were great. Fairly near all the Ironbridge attractions.

Yes satnavs have their limitations. Guests have recently told me that by using Google maps they find us much easier. However many thanks for taking the time to leave your review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and as you say it is handy for Ironbridge and the museums that are around 4 miles away. Have just arrived home from a wonderful stay with Hazel at The Stanage. A wonderful welcome, despite being about an hour early. A hot drink was offered having been shown to our lovely and comfortable room, although we declined wanting to start with a trip to Much Wenlock. Room 3 is spacious, comfy and full of lovely, thoughtful little touches... More

Thank you so much for writing your lovely review about The Stanage and we are so pleased that you both appreciated all our little extras we put in the rooms. We try to put in things we would like to find and often don't! I do appreciate that the wet room is a snug fit but it really does make... More

Very nice room with modern TV & free wi fi. Excellent shower in wet room with wall heater for extra comfort. Host was friendly and helpful with advice regarding places to eat and visit. RAF Cosford is an excellent aircraft museum located nearby. There is also an Interesting National Trust house nearby.

Guest house very nice, spacious room and bathroom, clean and tastefully decorated. Good full scottish breakfast, there was also fresh fruit. Free Wifi available in the room. Free parking in the courtyard. There are no restaurants or pubs nearby, serves the car. Lovely owners; recommended

The very comfortable room, combined with the friendly and very helpful host made our short stay at The Stanage a perfect weekend break. I would heartily recommend this b and b to anyone staying in Shropshire. If the weather is good, a great (and cheap!) supper can be had at the fish and chip shop, right next to the famous... More

The location suited me as I was on a long distance bike ride. The hotel is of a high standard. The room was spacious, clean and well presented. My bike was stored in a secure location. There is a supermarket and modern pub serving food within walking distance. The breakfast was excellent. Couldn't find any fault at all.

Ideal as a stop over for a day or two, exceptionally clean and the perfect host. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. if I had to criticize I would say it was slightly old fashioned, but it was an lovely old house and there is nothing wrong with that! You must try the home produced honey! Highly recommend anyone staying... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your review of The Stanage and we are very pleased that you were more than happy with our standards of cleanliness and comfort. Hazel was very welcoming despite us arriving a bit early. Our room was very clean and comfortable and a lovely comfortable "put up" bed for our 7year old granddaughter. We will certainly think of staying here if we visit the area in the future

Stayed in room 2 for one night. Very impressed. Every small detail had been thought of; teapot with cosy, bedside chocolates, lovely bathroom toiletries, home 'grown' honey and locally sourced sausage and bacon served at breakfast. Hazel was the perfect host, very friendly and helpful; thank you for your hospitality. Would certainly stay again. Hard to suggest improvement but a... More
