We stayed at the Ivy Hotel during Radio One's Big Weekend. The staff were very helpful and cannot be faulted, arranging a taxi on our arrival and sorting out a late check out of our room the morning after. We stayed in Room 101 which had a four poster bed. I have stayed at The Ivy when on business in Swindon on numerous occasions. My employer offers me the option of staying at hotels such as the Holiday Inn, but The Ivy has always been my preferred choice. Have just got back from my one night stay here for a work awayday. I had the good fortune to be allocated room 101 - the Red Room with a four poster bed. I can't comment on the hotel itself as we only used the restaurant, but recommend the restaurant very highly. The food was delicious (the hotel website has specimen menus on display so I won't go into detail here of the sort of menu on offer), but the differentiating factor making this an 'excellent' rather than 'above average' was the service... more
