A very warm welcome we were given as soon as we arrived. Booked for 4 people seeing that it is rated as a four star hotel I thought that it is a real four star. The adventure started as soon as we got in: climbing for our room, not even the staircase is wide enough to pass with the luggage.... More

We stayed here as a family of five, we had one double, a twin (down by the car park) and a single. We arrived quite late, and had to phone the mobile number on the door to get the code to get in, but this was no problem at all. My two sons (in the shed as they called it)... More

We booked for four & the room was too small for four, we didn't even have space for our luggage. Parking spaces weren't enough for every room in the lodge. The breakfast was very poor, Cereals were always left in a container in the sun, & the renowned English breakfast was anything but renowned.

I stayed here after a long flight and train journey and picked it on the strength of its four star hotel rating on laterooms. There were other hotels which were cheaper and closer to the station, but I knew I'd be exhausted after the journey and wanted a bit of luxury. This was not to be however. I arrived quite... More

Stayed here on our travels south for one night. The service and friendliness was excellent, as was breakfast The room itself was tight for space but had everything one would need. Just couldn't comment higher on the cleanliness scale as I found carpet in the bathroom to be unusual and couldn't help but wonder how dirty it actually was (certainly looked... More

Stayed following an offer seen on their website, had a single room which was very small but met all my needs. Room had all the basics and TV, along with a shower. Lovely welcoming staff, and fantastic full English breakfast. Car parking available, would stay again if they offered the same reduced weekend rates, but haven't seen any for a... More

This hotel is very ideally situated near the motorway, and makes a very good place from where to discover Bath, Oxford and the Cotswolds. The service was excellent, nothing was ever too much, and everything answered with a smile. The breakfast was delicious, and the rooms very tastefully decorated, and every extra comfort had been thought of. I would thoroughly... More

If you have to stay in Swindon, rest at THE LODGE. The rooms may not be huge but the hospitality is enormous. It's super comfortable, spotless, quiet, yet minutes away from the town center. I certainly will stay again. Lysette Anthony

We don't live that far away from Swindon but needed to stay overnight. This was the perfect location, has parking, is in the Old Town (best bit of Swindon!) and Phil could not have been more welcoming and kind. The room was spotlessly clean and had every possible thing you need for a good stay. I would definitely go here... More
