Stayed at Alexandra House hotel for a Monday night with my wife and 10 year old son - we all loved it. Although the hotel is 5 years old, everything looked new - the room was imaculate. We booked an executive room, and received a complimentary bottle of wine, complimentary soft drinks/water in the room fridge and complimentary wi-fi. Even... more

I stayed for one night at the Alexandra House Hotel for a two day partners conference & AGM. I was very impressed with the hotel.... My room was very spacious, well furnished, had a huge comfortable bed and all the usual mod cons (it did lack Air Conditioning though, which could be an issue in the summer months). The bathroom... more

Swindon wasn't the first place I was going to pick for our 23rd wedding anniversary weekend away, (30th Oct to 1st Nov) but I was impressed with what I had read on this site. I booked an executive double room at a cost of £65 per person per trip (2 nights plus breakfast), via Superbreak. The room, 130, was on... more

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere - luckily its well signed. A wait to check in. Modern rooms but rather cold. Bathroom a bit basic with some products no bathrobe and NO HAIRDRIER? Breakfast buffet but pleasant staff serve coffee (marmite for toast - particularly yummy) more

I love this hotel. It's clean, the staff are unhurried and helpful, the spa is lovely, it's luxurious in the way modern, business hotels seem to be, it's superb value for money at the weekends (haven't stayed during the week), breakfast good. If I had to criticise anything it would be the limited restaurant menu but again, perfectly adequate and... more

What a setting, set in park landscape, this modern purpose built venue was ideal for those of us who use four wheels to get around. Alexandra House is a hotel & purpose built conference centre, which in the week hosts conferences, training, meetings and events but at the weekend, it transforms into the ideal to hold you wedding, have a... more

One of the best hotels i have ever been in, everyone was most helpfull, from Receiption, to the resturant, to the gym staff, to the house keepers. One can see why it is a 4 star hotel/conferance centre. There was not overlap or interaction with it being a Hotel/conferance Centre. Breakfest was of a very high standard, everything one could... more

This modern hotel & its meeting facilities was a great find. The staff was superb - helpful, accommodating, very kind AND courteous! Many amenities are enclosed in the complex. Probably the closest hotel to Barbury Castle -an ancient formation & important site- and hence, close to some of the yearly crop circle formations. It should be considered as a great... more

The hotel being out of the way and quiet was just what we wanted. We were cheeky and asked for a room upgrade as the member of staff who checked us in said they were pretty quiet and we got one, lovely :-) Very nice room, spacious and well appointed with an ironing board!! Not seen one in a UK... more
