Booked through work Hotel boasted free wifi internet access. What they forgot to mention that this consisted of just the BBC website, any other access you had to pay £9.99 for Stayed in room 53, recently decorated but no attention to detail. The painting on the bannister was shoddy. Had a drink in the bar @ 2130. Tried to get... more

I stayed at this hotel with my wife for one night on the 11th January, Okay, perhaps the bedroom was a tad basic but the bed linen was spotlesssly clean as was the bathroom and the living area. The complementary toiletries were a bit skimpy but there was an endless supply of steaming hot water for bathing/showering. We enjoyed a... more

I booked an executive room and was frankly appalled when I was given a room that although large, ressembled something from 1979. It was located in a block away from the main hotel. The block smelt badly of damp and urine. The furniture in the room was stained, the curtains wouldn't draw together and the wallpaper was peeling. The electric... more

Stayed at the hotel on the 8th October and what a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The hotel is being refurbished at the moment and the rooms are excellent. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The leisure facilities here are fab, and free to use for hotel guests. I will definitely be going again. more

Had the "pleasure" of staying in this Hotel on business for 3 nights. The rooms I was in was across from the main hotel building, and consisted of a 1960's construction which was in dire need of some upgrading. Think of the program "Crossroads" and that will give you a visual image if you need one. The room was cold,... more

I have just returned from a two night stay at the Nightingale in Swindon - and I can't say I was impressed. I had read that the Nightingale is a 3 star hotel, and that it is a converted 18th century vicarage - sorry, but I really didn't see anything 18th century! The hotel looks like a purpose-built sixties motel... more

I stayed here for two nights and that was long enough. Positive comments first - the staff were brilliant! Really pleasant and helpful. The food was also first class. Lots on offer at breakfast time which was self-service and included a full English breakfast. I had a meal in the evening as well which was also really good and reasonably... more

Definitely not a hotel more like a building site! The corridors were dark and dingy and smelled of damp. Building materials were left all over the place. Our room itself was very basic and the bathroom looked like it had never been cleaned. Lots of hair in the bath and all over the floor. Staff seemed very disinterested when we... more
