My wife and I ate at the Pear Tree restaurant in August 2014 to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary. We had stayed at the hotel on our wedding night, so it's always a sentimental location for us. The quality of the food was excellent and we were particularly impressed with the level of service and attention to detail. The food,... More

The Pear Tree is a lovely hotel, set in beautiful grounds; herbaceous borders to die for and a vineyard as well. You can buy a glass (or bottle) of their own white wine if you like. We benefitted from lovely sunny weather, so could walk around the grounds and beyond, to the Farm Shop and Church nearby. The breakfasts and... More

Just had two nights here -£370 for double executive room on a dinner and breakfast basis. Nice spacious room with good outlook, very good restaurant, newspaper, fruit, bottled water and home made biscuits in room all included. Also, you get fresh milk in a little thermos flask, rather than those nasty long life milk things in your room - great!... More

Last week we had two nights/three days at the lovely Pear Tree Hotel. It was absolutely lovely, the food was delicious, the room and the hotel itself par excellence. The beautiful gardens and vineyard were a delight and the patio looking out on the lovely gardens is just perfect on which to sip their own, very drinkable wine. All the... More

We stayed for four nights in the most beautiful hotel surrounded by magnificent herbaceous borders, a vineyard and large meadow with a church in the background. The standards in the hotel matched the surroundings with comfortable, well appointed bedrooms, a cosy bar and lounge and a large patio to enjoy the wonderful weather we had during our stay. We had... We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pear Tree - from garden chess to vineyards, large well appointed rooms to excellent dinner and service - and thank the owners for making our stay so pleasant. The Pear Tree gardens are especially beautiful. For overseas visitors, The Pear Tree is an excellent introduction to English country life.
