We chose The Pear Tree because it claims to be dog friendly - and it certainly is! On arrival, our dogs found in 'their' room not only a dog bowl, but bottled spring water and chews to go with it! We returned from a weekend break at the Pear Tree a week ago. We were intitally impressed by the warm welcome although the hotel interior is rater tired looking but spotlessly clean. The rooms were a similar standard with complimentary shortbread and sherry. We would (and most other people I should imagine) have preferred tea and coffee in the room.... more

Pear Tree is a lovely building, in beautiful grounds, and easy to find. The room was small but comfortable. Dinner was excellent, well served, lovely food and a relaxing environment.
