The Goddard Arms is now owned and operated by the Barracuda Group I discovered, following 4 years of closure and neglect staff told me. They are a national pub operator and have retained a very small number of letting rooms above the pub from the original building. They are no longer a dedicated hotel, but a very popular and busy... more
Just stayed at newly refurbished Goddard hotel. The room was tiny (room 9) and you end up walking in a side step to negotiate the bed. Also the pub/resturant is very busy at weekends and you hear all the noise from the pub all night. This is to expected I suppose but the constant noise of the heavy front doors... more
