Nice building, reasonably presented. Only real criticisms is that breakfast did not start until 8am on a Saturday and the bar staff were vacuuming during breakfast. Otherwise a nice room and a comfortable stay and good food

We stayed here just this week, 3 adults in two rooms. Our room was straight off the car park, and our other guest was staying upstairs. The rooms were fairly basic, but clean, and serviced. Though the walls are quite thin, (we were woken by someone coughing and throwing up at about 3am). Breakfast was really nice, and we really... More

Stayed here on a Friday night. It was very popular with the locals coming in for meals. Reception was unmanned, had to find receptionist working behind a busy bar. The room was adequate but being on the ground floor lacked privacy as customers at benches were immediately outside window. Breakfast was fine but marred by vacuuming being carried out whilst... The hotel looks quite nice from the outside but that is about it. Considering it wasn't that expensive I was not expecting any luxury BUT the stairs were very dirty. It was very smelly inside the hotel and the room was tiny. Most importantly the bed mattress was SOOO uncomfortable, old and the springs in the mattress were hurting me... More

by all the positive reviews. Most of the staff were more interested in popping out for a fag than anything serving customers. The bar maid just about managed to stay on the polite side of surly and the food was awful. Perhaps we chose a bad night to go in. When the waitress asked about my meal (I had left... More

We visited as part of a group of 10 for lunch. The room is rather small but adequate, there is quite a varied menu to cater for most tastes plus the daily specials. I chose a Blue cheese macaroni bake with a portion of chips, this was very nice. The service was not the speediest but the food was worth... More

We managed to leave our phone / charger at our previous stop . So as a self employed person it's really important for me to stay online . The staff were really helpful with advice where to go to buy replacements . The food had a wide variety and servings were generous. The room was small and probably a little... More

This is a nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Very easy to get to the hotel which is very handy for the A419 and the M4. The only problem was that we were unable to check into the room until 5-30.

Access is via the large carpark out the back - there's no difficulty finding a parking spot. Exiting out onto the main road could prove problematic in the mornings but with stop-start traffic I was able to edge out easily enough. Check-in proceeded well: they had all my details, was pre-paid and I was shown to my room which is... More
