We came here after a day at Alton Towers with a coach company. The rooms are very clean and the beds are very comfy. However, the food is absolutely awful here. The starter which we had was rubbish and the main course was even worse. I had shepherds pie which came from frozen and was disgusting!!! The desert was an absolute... More

Stayed here whilst working nearby. Rooms ok. Food pricey for frozen stuff but edible after a long day at work. Television is on in the lounge but ask if you want anything on because they just have sky news on constant. Plenty of car parking and free wifi. May return if nothing else on offer

Room was clean, huge, comfy. TV was blurry. Hot, hot day...no air conditioning, I never even pulled the duvet down. HOtel menu, crap. Indian next door, posh and had take away at good price: result. Staff: wonderful. Bed comfy. Sleep: impossible. Bollywood, thumping, disco til 2 am. Every Saturday, so I'm told. I'd driven 7 hours to get there, had... More

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. Real value for money, made arrangements to have extra beds for two of our children so that we didn't have to book two rooms and be apart. The only downside was the music from the club (part of the same building) playing until early hours of the morning -... More

I don't think anything could have prepared me for staying in this hotel. Even with a warning from family who were already here! The first thing that hits you about this hotel is the unbelievable smell!! Outside the reception is the smell of weed from the group of chavs smoking it, then you get BO in the entrance bit. Our... I am currently sitting in a room on the 4th floor wishing I was anywhere but here. There is a nightclub directly below my room pumping out horrible music and an MC shouting down a mic, presumably to a bunch of drunk, under dressed teenage girls and blokes who look like Ken dolls dipped in tea and covered in biro.... room was ok, but in the days in write up it said it had a coffee machine, when it didn't only had a kettle! the fan in the room was very dusty on the blades, and as we had to bring the dog it had to be cleaned as he is allergic to dust mites, we cleaned the fan. i... More

Location - Literally on top of the Cricket Ground - if your room faces the back of the hotel you could watch a match. Easy to get to with a big car park. Rooms are clean and pleasantly decorated with small nice shower room. This hotel has no air con in the rooms so on a hot day/evening the rooms... More

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights to go to Alton Towers. Very clean, well kept room, nice breakfast all at an excellent price. We knew it was close to the cricket ground but hadn't anticipated a match to be on at 9 pm on a Friday night and then an after party till 12 which kept me and our... More

Breakfast is self serve with an excellent array of traditional English and continental brakfast offerings. Will definately stay here again.
