My family and I stayed here for a trip to Alton Towers - very clean, very central to Derby, very friendly staff, very good views of the river. Comfy beds and sofa bed was great for the kids (5 and 10). A bargain of a stay with breakfast included - can't fault it.

This hotel definitely deserves a 5 star rating. From staff, rooms and location the hotel has everything you would need and expect at your stay. Location: your next to the bus station, genting casino and the westfield shopping centre. There is a river view outside with a romantic little walk..stunning! Staff: very helpful and professional especially the lady manager thank... More

We stayed for one night and you get what you pay for at £50 and it's not much, there were a number of issues: despite calling in advance to ask for a cot to be in the room there wasn't one, the room hadn't been cleaned (there was someone else's hair all over the bathroom, the floors hadn't been hoovered... This hotel is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the railway station and was built in the last five years above the bus station (but don't let that put you off, there is no hint of diesel!) It is very near the shops, Cathedral cultural quarter and sits alongside the river, so has some lovely views. My only quibble... More

Great location for the City Centre. Only down side would be the parking which is a bit of a walk. Okay if it is dry, but would not be nice if it was raining. That said, you get a good rate via the hotel.

If you arrive by car and can find the "loading" area you are a genius! I went round and round following the hotel's instructions - but it took nearly an hour. For the record the so-called loading area is parallel to Gent's casino and directly opposite the market - it is where the taxis wait. This hotel is no good... More

Very nice hotel in a great location for city centre and other amenities. Went here for my stag do and it was great! Nice rooms with comfy beds and decent tvs. Nice spacious bathrooms with some rather odd sliding none locking doors.. But as long as you're staying with someone you trust you'll be sound!

Conveniently located for an overnight visit to the town centre. Despite it's location, the room was extremely quiet. I got the room on a deal which included a buffet style breakfast which offered cereals, toast and full English. Rooms were a good size and clean with a good range of toiletries and tea & coffee making facilities. Bed was very... More

Stayed for 2 nights earlier this month got a fantastic deal, one small hiccup but it was dealt with straight away, fantastic breakfast included in the price, in the centre just a very short walk to shops, pubs etc would certainly stay again
