Nothing to complain about, not a place to go on your holidays or break.... it's basically a motel. a place to get a few hours sleep, rooms are pretty dated, but clean. The bathroom was newish although small perfectly fine. To improve these rooms all they need is a new TV and curtains and it would be great.

I stayed in a double room on 3rd floor with hubby for one night. Room was large but tired, although clean TV was very old and small! furniture needs updating but don't this put you off! My daughter stayed in a family room on 2nd floor and it was fabulous. .. Obviously recently refurbished. .. lovely comfy double bed with... More

Location This is an area that appears to be regenerated 5 mins walk from the city centre. There are car parks close by or you could go to the suburbs around Pelham St for on street parking. Value This is not an attractive hotel, but this is reflected in the price at £29. It suited me as I was on... More

I stayed couple of days in this "hotel". Worst experience in my life, dirtiness, smell and disgusting breakfast. It should be closed, I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy. In the end all the reviews written here are all true, wish I would believe them before..

This place looked much better in photos than it did in real life. Set in a run-down area that had seen better days, the tired-looking hotel lobby floor was littered with dirt and bits of trash. A front window above the entrance was broken and bowed out, looking like a fight had had resulted in someone being shoved against it... More

I've stayed at another Metro Inn before (in Yorkshire) and it was ok but this is another matter. Booked by phone at the very last moment so it was good to get somewhere I guess. Found the hotel in a back road in Derby, looks like it was a one time office block, checked in at reception was issued with... More

This is by far the worst experience of staying away from home I have ever encountered. The hotel is dirty and run down. The room allocated to me hadn't been cleaned, the valance had stains on it, the toilet still had urine in it, someone else's credit card was still in the room. I asked to be moved and was... More

This is the second time I have stayed here on business one night this time and two nights previous time. Paid £29 for single room which was fine, yes it needs redecorating, yes some floors have stained carpets but I have found it fine for one or two nights. TV's could do with replacing for flat screens, shower worked fine,... More

This was the sentence my friend used to describe his experience of the metro inns at Derby. It really was that bad. I have noticed a few people mention "you get what you pay for" but I don't believe that. I have reviewed a few hotels now in Derby and I'm going to use the Jury's inn as a comparison.... More
