It didn't help that the hotel was full of hyperactive yoof thundering along the corridor into the early hours but they couldn't be blamed for the lack of heating, uncomfortable bed, lack of space and lingering pong. more

Stayed here with partner and in-laws for two nights. Our rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Beds O.K (but let's face it - they're never going to be as good as your own, and I always take my own pillow). Our bathroom looked to be recently re-furbished? The shower was certainally one of the best i have come... more

Having read some bad reviews on this hotel i was a bit dubious about booking but they had a great offer on! 60 quid for double room for dinner bed and breakfast and free bottle of wine! The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The room was ideal, very comfy bed etc. Food was great, good portions and very... more

My husband & I stayed with my young grandson (2) for 2 nights. We were allocated room 218 which was a good size room to fit his travel cot in. My grandson loved the view from the window - Derby station with the buses and cars. However, coming from a Norfolk village and not being used to traffic noise we... more

When I first arrived the room looked lovely - large with a four-poster bed. But the room was freezing and never warmed up. I had a bath which was OK but only the bits in the water were warm. I had to sleep with my coat as an extra blanket. When I went to enquire about an evening meal or... more

I feel obliged to write a decent review for this hotel, as I booked it purely because it was the cheapest on lastminute (£70 for dinner, bed & breakfast + free wine!) and I didn't fancy the long drive home after a day at Alton Towers! I had fairly low expectations, but there was ample free parking, the reception /... more

We had our office party here on Dec 5th 2008. It took two lots of mail to obtain the correct menu and we had to pay postage on the second lot. We paid £32 each a lot of money. Unfortunately the food was very poor most people couldn't eat the Chicken and Asparagus Parfait starter and just left it. I... more

I booked in for a 2 night stay with my partner. The hotel is tired and the room was not great but clean. I was happy as I was on a reasonable room rate. The second night my toilet stopped flushing. I told the duty manager who said the issue would be resolved or a new room allocated by the... more
