I booked a weekend stay at the Mickleover Court Hotel recently, for a well deserved rest for my wife (and myself) I chose this hotel as we have always had consistently good service at the Mickleover and enjoy the surrounding area and easy access to the city centre I had a concern on my room and spoke to Chris (Deputy... We choose this hotel because it has a swimming pool and they don't restrict family access to the leisure centre. This meant we could have a family swim when we arrived in the evening before going to Alton Towers the next morning. Staff were helpful and friendly, room was lovely and comfortable. Only disappointment was the cooked breakfast which was... More

I watched this hotel being built , was a member of the gym , and then when moved away came back to stay . It was almost like home .All my requests were met by the pleasant staff , the room was large ,quiet ,comfortable ,if slightly old fashioned . The food in the restaurant was good ,the presentation a... More

I know its customary to write a review once you've checked out but as I'm off to Dorset after this trip and, given that I have been here for three days and have one more night to go, am soooo impressed and would not now consider staying anywhere else in Derby for my next trip - I'm happy to write... I stayed here for the weekend with my family - we were visiting family who live in Mickleover. The staff on reception were pleasant and efficient and check-in went very smoothly. We booked two rooms, one twin and one double, very pleasantly surprised with rooms, especially the size of the twin room, all very clean and tidy with everything you... More

The hotel itself I would rate as a mid to lower end 4 star and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Although the wifi is free it is pretty slow. The thing that separated it from other hotels for me was when I had an issue with the room. I rang reception to report it. They immediately found a solution... More

Very nice Hotel, service very good, the staff are excellent. Loved the swimming pool, very relaxing after a long hot drive. The place could do with a bit of a general spruce-up, it is beginning to show signs of wear and tear but this is more than made for up by the staff Would definitely stay here again

Booked in for one nite as we were going to Derby show, arrived sat afternoon check in was smooth enough had upgraded to a better room but couldn't see what the upgrade was unless it was the gowns and slippers, felt the hotel was a little grimey a bit more attention to cleaning wouldn't go a miss and paint needs... It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Mickleover hotel... Amazingly capacious room with a great bed (finally double bed which is a double bed, not just two beds joined together), beautiful bathroom and excellent room service (oh yes, a terrace for smokers :)). Loved the food. Didn't get around to use the spa/fitness facilities as it was a lazy... More
