Booked double standard room 2 nights DB&B for just under £80 per night. The Hotel is well located just off the A38 and easy to find. Plenty of car parking space and a short walk into Mickleover which has all facilities one needs. The standard room we were allocated was very small and rather tired but spotlessly clean. The Italian... more

I booked a twin room to stay at the Mickleover Court through Laterooms. When I arrived at the hotel the woman on the check in said that due to the fact they were fully booked we had been upgraded to a suite! Of course that sounded great and i was well pleased. However the suite only had a double bed... more

just a quick review of what can only be described as the worst hotel in england bar none. Its a rare occasion you can return from a hotel stay physically scared and near enough 300 quid out of pocket mainly due to the drinks prices ( you can get a cheaper pint in norway! ). After checkin in i headed... more

This is a good standard business quality hotel, although it is suitable for non-business people too! My wife and I had a very nice room with a large feature window over miles of green countryside, we had a very good meal in the restaurant and they have underground parking (if you want more safety for the car). It is clean,... more

We had booked a standard twin room but the room we were allocated on arrival was spacious with a balcony and appeared newly re-furbished. We appeared to have been upgraded, despite having booked an on-line special offer. Having read mixed earlier reviews the day before our stay, we had wondered whether to cancel the reservation but the staff, without exception,... more

Just had 3 nights at Mickleover Court Hotel and found it excellant value - nice staff, good breakfast, nice room (superior double) with a fridge and nice decor and bathroom. The hotel has splendid air-con in the rooms and the main areas which to me is important as most hotels are too hot Also the pool and leisure facilites were... more

This was the second Menzies 4 star hotel stayed at in a few days and like the other I am perplexed as to where the 4 star rating comes from. The hotel looks nice, and the entrance lobby is imposing for a new hotel but I felt it let itself down in other areas. Check-in was ok but the young... more

Arrived to a very smelly room and they moved us straight away. The second room was exactly the same - very very bad musty smell. They then upgraded the room to the other side of the hotel which was just okay. At the bar they brought the wrong drinks twice. We had booked a meal with friends, the food was... more
