Our room was very small and consequently the paintwork and furniture were very worn, as it was difficult to move around it - walls should have been painted and carpets replaced sometime ago. It is clear that when the hotel opened a lot of thought, time and money was put into the decor, but over the years this standard has... More

We booked this beautiful hotel through travel zoo and got an amazing offer. The hotel is a boutique hotel and just down the road from the cathedral. It's great for walking around the city centre. Our package included dinner bed and breakfast in a standard room. The restaurant is in a beautiful room an the service and food was excellent.... More

We stayed in a suite for one night on a short visit to Derby. The Hotel is ideally situated for the city centre and surrounding places of interest. The suite was spacious with the bedroom on a mezzanine floor. It was comfortable, with plenty of furniture and three televisions. However, the carpets were dirty with lines of dust around the... This is a beautiful hotel, its a lovely old building with the most amazing individually styled clocks in reception but its the staff who really make this hotel a lovely experience. Everyone without exception was smiling and helpful, the service wasn't faultless but the attitude of the staff made it so. I'd like to give particular mention to Jemma in... More

Stayed here on business. It's a nice hotel, a bit different from the normal faceless corporates and has some character. Reception staff were lovely. Had a suite, which was not quite as expected. Lovely bed, bathroom fab, but lounge area like a motel which was a shame. Major disappointment in that restaurant is not open on a Monday which as... More

We stayed just one night in June. We loved it. We managed to get a deal which included a 3 course meal. The location was very central but the hotel was very quiet. The staff were very friendly There is a small area for parking but a very good car park just down the road. Excellent in every way. We... More

We've just had a fab 2 nights in this hotel, the room was spotless, the bed was comfy, the rooms are maybe a little small but more than adequate. The staff are nice and friendly, the food is absolutely excellent, delicious, and the service is very good. And while you are there you really need to try the spa. I... More

Only last weekend we attended a wedding reception at the CQH for around 50 people - room and surrounding area were perfect and building offered great photo opportunities. Food and staff were brilliant, especially Bish, the restaurant manager, who went the extra mile. Some guests stayed over and the positive experiences continued - a massive Thank You and we will... I stayed at this hotel in 2010. So I decided to give it another try since I was confused between juri's hotel and cathedral quarter. Only good about this hotel is the location. Upon our arrival we checked in to a suite on the second floor. As we exited the elevator there were two old disgusting mattresses standing up to... More

Stated for a night in June and was shocked!!! The bedroom was tiny as was the bathroom. Only a quarter of a toilet roll in holder which for the money spent you would expect full. Couldn't find anymore tissue so had to use a box of nose tissues behind the toilet. I could have given the hotel a better score... More
