Being from Derby I don’t usually have a reason to stop here, but it was a special occasion (my new husband and I were having a party in Derby to celebrate our wedding abroad). We decided to book a night at this hotel so we could get ready for our party and have somewhere nice to come back to. We... More

I worked in the building when it was being used by Derbyshire Police as offices. It was a nostalgic trip back now it is a hotel. I was hoping our room would be my old office but this is now a function room. Instead the junior suite we were staying in was on the ground floor and from recollection this... More

I stayed at this hotel the 23rd and 24th of July. Upon arrival the lobby is impressive and we checked into our rooms smoothly but after this everything went down hill. We entered our room on the ground floor to find hairs in our bath and sink and dust covered furniture. The floorboards are old and creaky which is fine... More

Hotel staff are amazing - so accommodating and friendly. They definitely went above and beyond the expected for us on our hen do. Only 4 stars because the food was fairly average but the hotel rooms were clean, the beds were comfy and had aircon. We also loved the bells on the doors!

Decorated nicely, but on the small side. The bathroom was the smallest I've ever encountered, and just had a shower rather than a bath. Not that much room to maneuver or working space to speak of. Staff were quite friendly and helpful, and it had a quiet atmosphere. The room had a mini fridge with a few bits and bobs... More

Stayed here last night as we were attending a wedding outside derby. Reception staff were great - I'd called the night before to enquire about early check in and when we arrived at 11am our room was ready (instead of 2pm) They even lent us an umbrella to take to the wedding! Room was good, nice and dark to sleep... More

Hotel is decorated really well and the staff try hard but could really do with some coaching in order to perfect there skills. My room was a ground floor double. It was small and dark. Bathroom was tiny but it served it's purpose. Hotel was clean, evening meal was really nice and breakfast was plentiful.

Our room was very small and consequently the paintwork and furniture were very worn, as it was difficult to move around it - walls should have been painted and carpets replaced sometime ago. It is clear that when the hotel opened a lot of thought, time and money was put into the decor, but over the years this standard has... More

We booked this beautiful hotel through travel zoo and got an amazing offer. The hotel is a boutique hotel and just down the road from the cathedral. It's great for walking around the city centre. Our package included dinner bed and breakfast in a standard room. The restaurant is in a beautiful room an the service and food was excellent.... More

We stayed in a suite for one night on a short visit to Derby. The Hotel is ideally situated for the city centre and surrounding places of interest. The suite was spacious with the bedroom on a mezzanine floor. It was comfortable, with plenty of furniture and three televisions. However, the carpets were dirty with lines of dust around the...
