Took part in a running event in the area. 13 of us stayed here and it was a fantastic hotel. The location is as central as you can get , and it was clean and very tidy. Service was good The bar was really nice and i would recommend this hotel to anyone

I'm sitting in Bar 16, the hotel bar, typing this review as I'm so shocked about the decline of what is supposed to be a boutique hotel. The bar is dreadfully tired and scruffy, chipped and stained tables and chairs. Tealight holder covered in dried wax from last night, window blinds then, a bulb out in the overhead light. There's... Stayed in Derby for 3 nights with relatives from Devon.Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.Breakfasts and evening meals were excellent, rooms comfortable. We received a warm welcome at reception on arrival and the staff were helpful and efficient.Enjoyed a late evening drink at the bar where the bar staff were very well trained at making cocktails. Derby is very close to... More

Lovely place, restaurant very clean and tidy. Lovely welcome and shown to our table immediately. A good Selection of speciality teas available. A good selection of sandwiches and cakes. A drink afterwards in the bar. All in all a very pleasant afternoon. Fully recommended.

A very nice afternoon tea in relaxing surroundings. Staff were very attentive, pleasant and polite. Great value for money. Lovely afternoon tea with plenty to eat: sandwiches, scones, cakes & cookies. Not totally traditional but still nice nonetheless. Would definitely book again.

I travel to Derby regularly on business and couldn't get into my usual hotel which was fully booked. This is not my idea of a 4 star boutique hotel. Frankly everything felt rather 'budget'. I stayed in a single room which was so dimly lit I thought at first that a bulb must have gone out. The pillows were cheap,... More
