As we were having a big night out for a friend's 40th, we just needed somewhere cheap and cheerful to have a bit of sleep and you can't go wrong with a room for £19! The room was clean and tidy and the lady on reception was super friendly and efficient - top marks to her! Lounge area could probably... More

This hotel was very reasonably priced. Receptionist was very nice and helpful on our arrival. Bedroom/bathroom basic but clean. Tea/coffee facilities in room but no shower gels. No hairdryer but did manage to borrow from reception. Very disappointing breakfast. Everything was laid out in chine dishes with lids but one lid had obviously been dropped at some time and had... Stopped for 1 Saturday night in May. Location is right next to the football ground so would be great for visiting fans. Parking is £3 for 24hours. A few fast food style diners dotted around the area so okay if you want to eat. City centre is 15mins walk or 5 mins by taxi. Room was modern and stylish with... More

I arrived at 12pm and paid for parking for the week (there is no alternative as there are double yellows everywhere and the Travelodge car park is paid despite it not being at all close to town). I was not allowed to check in early without paying extra fee, so tried to check in after work but was told that... More

Have been to this Travelodge a number of times, as it is very convenient for touring the local area, amenities are close by, it's cheap & is a cut above the average Travelodge, with massive rooms & huge showers. This time we experienced some problems on our 2 night stay & ended up having to move rooms 3 times. In... More

We paid £23 for both of us for one night, mid-week when we visited Alton Towers. It was basic but clean, a good sized room with air con, coffee facilities and a great shower. The bedding and towels were all clean and extra pillows supplied without any issue. We did not do breakfast or visit the bar but they looked... More

Stay here often for things like christmas parties and work nights out. I tend to book in advance and get rates around £23 or less. Rooms are clean, modern and beds are fairly comfortable. Best thing is that because this hotel has been bought from previous chains the rooms are HUGE!!!. Car park is £3 for the day which isn't... More

This is probably the best Travelodge I've stayed in. Polite, friendly staff, a pleasant bar/restaurant area, fixtures and fittings as they should be. There will always be a late night reveller, but overall it was a quiet and comfortable nights sleep. The breakfast was very good. I ate at the start of service, so I can't vouch for what its... More

I stayed in this hotel in 2008 when it was a Purple Hotel and later when it was taken over by Travelodge, for an extended period whilst working in Derby. The rooms were huge! For a Travelodge, the overall standard took them to a new level. I would have expected to pay much more for this standard of room. The... More
