This is a fascinating building, ideally positioned in the centre of town. Our room was a good size with reasonable amenities, however the bed was not very comfortable with round springs that could be felt through the thin padding....long due a change. The restaurant was a bit of a disappointment; in the evening we ordered and then waited 20 minutes... More

Thank you for your comments. We are undergoing a programme of renewal at the moment and new matresses are part of that, so in due course all will be replaced. Your comments about the breakfast sausages are inaccurate and bordering on libellous. More

Decided to have a weekend in Gloucester and looking at what was available we decided to stay at the New Inn within the center of Gloucester town, which gave ourselves the first problem Parking, nearest parking facility was about 10 mins steady walking away. When we entered the property we were delighted with the way it looked, the Inn was... More

Thank you for your comments. Our recommended car park is less than a five minute walk away so unsure where you parked. We apologised at the time about the heating in yourt room, which was repaired quickly. It was not a matter of simply bleeding the radiator. We cannot be held responsible for the city not having your choice of... More

We stayed here for the weekend. It was charming and quirky and our room was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style and we really enjoyed it. Hotel staff were friendly and considerate. I would stay here again.

We stayed at the New Inn for a long weekend, needing a central place to arrive from London by train and drive out to the Cotswolds over the weekend. The New Inn is in a great spot, an easy walk from the train station. The town shuts down at dark, but the hotel has a couple of pubs and a... More

Stayed for two nights Saturday and Sunday whilst singing services in the Cathedral. Even though I booked with Hotels.com, I was given The Oak Room which is a large first floor room in the gallery with a four poster bed. At £113 for two nights at half term and with full breakfast this is good value for such a different... More

Thank you for your comments - much appreciated. The karaoke usually finishes about midnight and the disco is in another part of the building so should have slightly less effect. Glad you enjoyed the room and the breakfast. More

Moving from Gloucester 45 years ago, and having not visited the New Inn for 45 years, I attended a dinner there last night, the character of the Inn was still there, the building if you have not been before is steeped in character and history and is very pretty, we actually met and spoke with the new owners who are... Large twin room with a nice large bathroom, comfortably warm and quiet. Included full English breakfast was very nice. Situated on main street but pedestrian area. Plenty to see and do within short walking distance

Only booked in for one night to go to an event in Gloucester, but would not revisit this hotel or recommend to anyone. I did arrive early and asked to leave my luggage in the "left luggage " facility that is listed as a facility. This turns about to be a space between a couple of doors where other people... More

We always appreciate feedback from guests, however when they leave the hotel before telling us there was a problem there is little we can do about it - much better to contact reception at the time! We have a luggage area. It is not somewhere where the public can pass through as you suggest however, and yes items are left... More

Just returned from a short break in Gloucester. The New Inn was perfect for us, it was close to the Cathedral and The Quays Complex. This lovely old Inn is pretty amazing, loads of history. We had a good double room, comfortable bed. Very clean. The staff at The New Inn are all very helpful = couldn't do enough for... More

We were received with surprise although we had booked. We were told immediately that there was no soup or ale pie and that there were no specials on the board. We ordered our drinks while we perused a fairly short menu. We all ordered the fish cakes to start with. When they arrived it turned out to be one fish... More
