The Hotel Host was very welcoming and helpful. He had good knowledge of the areas around Gloucester and is eager to help you in any way you can.The Hotel itself is a Museum if you ask me, with loads of pictures all around the rooms and gallery with a story attached to each picture :). The Hotel is just 15 minutes... More

Brilliant and unusual guest house. Couldn't do enough for us. Short walk from the centre of town. Host has a splendid knowledge of the sights in town and is more than happy to recommend. Spend a while looking at the vast collection of vintage portraits on the walls and see if you can spot the link, or play the piano... More

The Edward Hotel was very welcoming and comfortable. We stayed four nights. Each morning we had a great breakfast before we set out on our day's outing. The staff would help us with directions and even told us of places along our route to stop and see.

As we had elderly mother travelling with us we were lucky to have a ground floor room that had two bedrooms. Whilst the room was older, it was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful with sight seeing ideas. The included breakfast was excellent. Would stay again should we return to the area.

2nd stay at this little hotel. The decor is a bit dated, but the place really clean and tidy with comfy beds. A bit of road noise at the front of the hotel, but nothing you wouldn't expect this close to the city centre. A bit disappointed as I was ignored at breakfast, and in the end felt a bit... More

We stayed for one night just as a little get away to explore the city. Being a straight forward 10 minute walk away, it's a perfect location for the city centre: quays, cathedral and docks. Our room was clean, a reasonable size and had everything we needed. Not glitz and glamour, but it's not trying to be.. Does exactly what... More

A lovely small hotel with lots of charm that we'd gladly return to. Staff is very helpful and will give great advice on what to see and do. Rooms and bathrooms are nice and newly refurbished. Also a very good breakfast.

We stay most years at least once. The hotel is a bit dated but this is made up for the fact of the location. You can walk into Gloucester in 10 minutes. This means once parked up in the free car park you can leave the car. The staff are friendly and hotel is clean. Free Wi Fi.

A very different hotel! Each room is different, breakfast fine, on the up side they use puppies on a roll but downside was the loo seat. A fabulous shower in our room but it ought to be at right angles so it can be used to its potential. Will be back. Sure to be ideal for anyone visiting at the... More

Not immediately in the center of town, the hotel is within easy walking distance and on the bus route as well. I found it a convenient and very comfortable place to spend a couple of nights acclimatizing myself after 10 hours on the plane and three hours on the bus. The hostess is very friendly and helpful in terms of... More
