Can really only shower praise on this Hotel We wanted to visit the area again and luckily tracked down a Living Social Deal. Room quality was very good, overlooking fields on ground floor, very nice indeed. On the Saturday the hotel had a wedding reception going on that went on into the evening and this was handled very professionally and... More

We stayed at the Hatherley Manor in May on your way to North Wales for one night. There was a warm welcome and check in as fast and efficient. The room was lovely and overlooked the extensive lawns at the front. It was very quiet and comfortable leading to a good nights sleep. We (2 couples) had booked a table... More

This could be a fantastic hotel and venue. Unfortunately it has been run down and and apart from the restaurant , the hotel has not spent any money wisely and done things on the cheap. The food was average, and although the bathrooms were ok the room itself was tired . All the hotel carpets looked like they could do with... More

What a lovely looking place - real olde worlde - apparently just had a £million spent on upgrading it - Couldn't get in the restaurant for dinner as it was fully booked so had fish and chips in the bar - food was excellent. The bar man however was a right misery. No humour, no welcome nothing:( The room was... More

I was booked into this hotel from Sunday 26th - 31 May 2013 as part of a group walking in this area. I read some of the reviews with a sinking heart as it appeared that the venue is used frequently for weddings and that noise was an issue for patrons not associated with the function. I arrived to find... More

We returned to Hatherley Manor for one night on our 25th wedding anniversary having been there several times before. This time however on a voucher deal, wondering if this would make any difference to the way we were treated. It most certainly did not. The staff were most welcoming and reception most efficient, particularly a young lady called Sophie. We... More

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Friendly and lovely reception and bar staff. Exceptionally clean rooms. Cream tea on the front lawn was delightful. Food lovely. Some of the dining room staff are a little surly, but I think that is just the way they are and their culture rather than their attitude being directed at the guests!... More

We stayed for two nights in standard accommodation. The room was a good size with a king size bed, and as we were staying with a toddler, a small bed had been made up for us, and there was still enough room. The bathroom had a fixed shower head over the bath. Everything was really clean. Staff were friendly and... More

From the warm welcome on arrival to our departure the hotel, its staff, services and food were excellent. The staff were attentive, cheerful and generally on top of their game. Well done. Clearly not all have felt the same from the reviews but we are very likely to return.

We went to a wedding function there and stopped overnight after the reception and evening party. The hotel main building is old...17th Century I believe.. and of course listed... so there are no lifts. Lots of different stairs where you have to drag your cases to...rooms vary a lot. There are lots of nice nooks and crannies all over the... More
