We were paying with Tesco vouchers so when we arrived we asked if we could upgrade our room. We were offered a superior room for £20 per night and accepted it. We were told that inclusive in the rate was the TV package enabling us to watch films and use the TV as a computer. Our room was a good... more

Like previous reviews the reception and welcome from the staff was very pleasant. Turning up as a group of 8 earlier than expected we were pleased to find the rooms available and to a very high standard (big enough for 2 ugly blokes with bags, clubs etc..) The food, both evening and breakfast was very good indeed and was not... more

We have just had a 3 night package at this hotel and would not go back. Extremely badly maintained room including melted hairdryer in bedroom, falling shelf and bath panal falling off in an out dated bathroom. - not desrving 4 * rating. Breakfast was a shambles although food was adequate. Some staff hygiene was very questionable so we decided... more

We used Tesco clubcard vouchers for our 2 night stay which made it good value. No way would we have paid full price! The rooms were good and the bed very comfy. We had room 137 which was quiet and had a nice outlook at the back. Disappointed with bar which was quite a walk away down a smelly corridor... more

I you are a beer drinker, don't go to this hotel. The beer is crap. No real Ale at all and the keg beer is hardly drinkable. Find a local pub and give them your business. more

We had already got a fantastic 2-night deal for this hotel, but when we arrived, we found that our luck had been extended! On arrival, we were greeted by smiling, friendly and down-to-earth staff who were only to happy to cater to our needs without being overbearing. Our room was clean and smart and contained all the facilities that we... more

The main reasons for choosing the hotel were the facilities and closeness to town. Had I known that it was a 'butlins' without chalets or caravans I would've chosen otherwise!!!! The drive from town to the hotel was through some obviously local authority areas which most people wouldn't want to walk through during the day let alone the evening; the... more

Stockport RUFC Under 12's - 37 children and 42 adults stayed here - booked through the very helpful central bookings & got excellent group rates. It was all arranged on last minute as the hotel we'd booked - Stonehouse Court doubled the price quoted when we tried to pay our deposit. Excellent facilites; used pool and dry ski slope across... more
