stayed overnight en route to iron bridge. what a little gem. nice big bar with lots of real ales and friendly staff.short stroll to cinema and a ten minute walk to town centre.lovely breakfast. we shall be staying again.

We stayed 20 minutes - absolute shocker . I asked for a quiet room on reservation but got put in the room directly over the bar. Freezing room / dirty /filthy curtains / carpet hadnt been hovered for a while and some kind of air freshener was trying to mask the smell of damp and dirt

picked this pub at random off late rooms,to stay one night midweek due to the good reviews it had from other people, and was not disappointed ,the place was quiet homely and friendly and the staff more so,on arrival we were promptly shown to our room which was very clean tidy with (comfy beds) with tea coffee biscuits bottled water... room a bit dated , but i did not exspect the ritz , waitress was a gem, a great breakfast ,the bar was fab. quiet location.although on the main road. but only ten minute walk to the main shopping area , will recomend this place for all good reasons, great value for money , we will be back

Accomodation over a pub. Great beer and company whilst watching the rugby on tv. Excellent fry-up in the morning. Room was basic but clean and everything worked. Owners were very friendly and helpful.

My wife and I had a great stay here and our only complaint was that we didn't stay there long enough. What can I say?
