We have been going here, on and off, for around 10 years. They used to be known for their variety of real ales but they often seem to have the same few these days. Being on the route into the city centre, they often get passing hen or stag parties dropping in, but that is not their fault. The acquisition... More

The hotel is situated in a run down area of Gloucester. It may only be a 10 minute walk from the Docks, but it really is on the 'wrong side of the track'. The hotel has 2 parking spaces, if full there is a public car park a few minutes walk away. Parking outside on the main road is limited... More

Booked into the Linden Tree for one night after reading some of the reviews and thought well its cheap people say its okay and its only for one night so all will be fine. No - first disappointment was they don't do meals at the weekend so that meant after several hours driving we had to go out to search... More

This Bed & Breakfast is a little outside the city centre but is easily walkable. It is a Pub with the rooms above used guests to sleep. This is not luxury accommadation but it is clean and perfectly adaquate. The owners were very chatty and very helpful. Next time I work in Gloucester I will go back because of the... More

The Linden Tree is a lovely Georgian House in easy walking distance of the town. It is furnished in traditional style which is a little dated, but is extremely clean and comfortable. The rooms are situated over a pub, which has a fantastic range of ales and ciders and wonderful home cooking at excellent prices. The welcome is terrific, from... More

This an excellent option if you would like to achieve value for money. The room was clean, well appointed with everything except a telephone (but who needs a phone in the room?) The pub downstairs is a traditional pub with an excellent range of beers and very friendly staff. The breakfast was excellent - what more can a man ask?... More

we booked a twin room with breakfast on one of the sites offering late bookings. we arrived late afternoon, the pub was locked and in darkness. there was a note to say go to house/door around the corner. We were told to go back to pub door and we would be let in. the surroundings of the pub left us... More

We have just come back from a 3 night stay at this hotel. When we first got there we were a bit unsure about its location, but i can now honestly say it was perfect. The room was fine, clean, and comfy bed. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very good, and plenty of it. The bar was... More

We booked this for an overnight stay on the spur of the moment to attend a funeral. It had good reviews and was very reasonably priced online. It is a popular pub. Do not be out off by the outside. The pub could do with refurbishment but that did not matter in the least. We had a large quiet, clean,... More
