Such a gorgeous place to stay and in a great spot just a few minutes walk from the centre of Harrogate. We stayed here for my 30th birthday and were so impressed with our room, some lovely touches such as the magazines in the bedroom made it a lot more personal than many other places we have stayed in. The... more

We stayed in the downstairs room in the coach-house and I can recall the cleanliness as being exceptionally good and the decor clean and in good order; the breakfast was certainly very good and the whole stay very pleasing; the only negative point was that we received no confirmation of the booking, other than that it was very well-run and... more

So nice to stay somewhere other than an 'every room the same' chain. The attention to detail that the owners have taken with the furniture and fittings is superb. Nice designer pieces everywhere you look, comfy beds, mindboggling breakfast choices. The perfect spot for a break in the lovely Harrogate area. Perfect spot for the town and conference centre. Great... more

Stayed here with friends for a hen night. The rooms are fantastic, very well decorated and accessorised with, bathrooms spotless and very modern. Toiletries and refreshment tray are great. They accommodated last minute changes with no fuss, helped us with glasses etc whilst we took over the guest lounge, got us a dvd player etc. The breakfast was good and... more

As the title says really- just ok and does not live up to the expectations promised on the website. This may have been due to the room that we were allocated. We were given a room in the coach house, a separate annex to the main building which consists of two bedrooms, one on the ground floor and one on... more

Management response from

I feel that a justifiable complaint regarding excessive noise from the family above has been unfairly exaggerated for maximum effect. (See 2 of the last 3 reviewers staying in the same room with very different feedback). I would dispute the peeling wallpaper/cobwebs and musty bathroom. The room and bathroom have been recently re-furbished. A visit to Reception would have resulted...

We stayed one night in a room in the coach house at the back of the main property. We had a large room with good facilities and a large comfortable bed. Being set well back from the road the coach house was also very quiet. The hotel is in a great location if you are visiting Harrogate as it is... more

Really can't fault this hotel! Fabulous stylish decor and a spotlessly clean room. The staff were very welcoming. There were lots of lovely thoughtful little extras such as jelly beans and fudge on the hospitality tray, up to date magazines in the room and an honesty bar. Harrogate town centre is just a couple of minutes walk away. Very refreshing... more

We arrived at an alternative hotel in Harrogate and were so unhappy we checked out and drove just down the road to see if The Bijou had a room. Luckily for us, the owner, was very happy to offer us a room in The Coach House. It is a 10 room hotel/B&B and is just lovely. The service from the... more

We stayed two nights a The Bijou and would wholeheartedly recommend it as a base to explore Harrogate and beyond. It is very well place to walk into town and not too close it is noisy. The hotel is clean and welcoming. Our room (6) was very pleasant with a comfortable bed and a pleasant bathroom. The bed linen was... more

Never written a review before but for this place I wanted to. Its amazing. You will not be disapointed and will love it. We had room 7, it is small but it is sold as small so the tip is, READ ABOUT THE ROOMS BEFORE YOU GO. It was gorgeous inside, lovely comfy bed, crisp clean sheets and all the... more
