A really lovely B&B. Our rooms were absolutely immaculate and very cozy. Every detail had been considered to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was excellent - lovely fresh fruit salad and the option of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon as alternative to a 'full english'. Our hosts, Barry and Lesley were very considerate; although the hotel is about 25 minutes... more

Myself and my soon to be wife visited Harrogate last weekend for a wedding. Due to lack of hotel rooms we decided to stay at the Applewood House B&B as it was close to the city centre and the wedding venue. The family who run it could not have been more helpful, they let us into our room three hours... more

Applewood House was a real find - right from the warm welcome we received from Barry to the first class breakfast, everything about our stay was just perfect. Our room (Sturmer) was beautifully decorated and cosy, with comfortable beds and an immaculate bathroom. There were thoughtful little touches like the scissors provided to cut open the sachets of ground coffee... more

An ideal place to stay for both business or pleasure in and around Harrogate. Barry and Lesley offered a very warm welcome to myself and friends, rooms are well appointed and spotlessly clean. The breakfast service I experienced was second to none with lots of choice, quality homemade produce and attention detail. We where attending a wedding at Rudding Park... more

Not having stayed in a B&B before, we were pleasantly surprised at the personal attentiveness of Barry and Lesley. Lovely, comfortable room and bath with many thoughtful touches. Good food and company. Met interesting people at the breakfast table. Lesley went out of her way to drive us to the library for family research. They had great recommendations for dinner... more

Lesley & Barry are what make this little gem of B&B into a great place to stay, they're warm, welcoming & friendly from the moment you arrive. They went the extra mile for us, sorting a restuarant booking for our wedding anniversay aswell as giving us a "sparkling" treat for our room before we went out. We stayed for two... more

I have just returned from a long weekend spent with my sister and father staying at Applewood House and I cannot speak highly enough of the hospitality extended to us by Barry and Lesley, our hosts. Our rooms were lovely and dad's single was much more spacious than is usually found in hotels. Every little detail had been carefully thought... more

Playing golf in Harrogate and decided to stay based on the positive reviews. I was not disapointed. The owners are obliging, welcoming and professional. The single room was comfy and more than adequate. The breakfast was fantastic. I plan to stay in Harrogate again and hope they have a vacancy for me. more

My wife and I spent 1 night here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The mood is very relaxed and the hosts are delightful. It did not feel like we were staying in a BnB. There is no dining but plenty of choice a short walk away in the centre. We had a lovely breakfast with excellent quality and we enjoyed... more

I spent three nights here with my sister and it really does deserve its number 1 spot. It is spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent with home made preserves, and is beautifully presented. Lesley and Barry are very welcoming and friendly, even to offering us a lift into town - maybe a pleasant 10 minute walk - and some... more
