I booked its sister hotel Azalea Living. When I read tyhe awful reviews I rang up to confirm the details. The had no recollection and had lost my credit card details. They offered me this hotel which I declined after there awful booking. Then I found they had taken a wooping £660.00 out of my account a month later. Avoid... More

Not even worth 1 star.......keys left on table for you to let yourself into your room and all your bank details including security code left for anyone to view or use! After waiting around over an hour I decided to make a quick exit but was chased down the drive by the owner who pursued me to return and promptly... More

My impressions of Harrogate were shattered by this experience. We come to Harrogate most Christmases as we like the variety of shops and when our friends suggested staying a night in the town we jumped at it. As soon as we arrived we knew this was a down trodden hotel. The hotel sign was broken, the outside was littered with... More

We booked this hotel in January and the rating was 9.5. On our arrival 23rd August as we drove into the car park we were met by building rubble furniture and dirty sacks of laundry. We went into the reception or should I say hallway. There was a table with a phone and a notice saying that breakfast was no... More

No staff at this hotel had to check in via telephone a builder working on the hotel had to show me to my room. The rest of the hotel was un occupied and in darkness and large amounts of building material and rubble around As a woman travelling alone I was not comfortable and within 5 minutes made the decision... Fortunately we went prepared having read the reviews on here, otherwise we might have been a little shocked. We chose this place as we were on a budget & there wasn't much else available in the area. On arrival there was some confusion with our booking and we, like others on here, were moved to Ashley House (which looked more... More

This property looked great online, with a photograph of a nicely appointed dining room, but they didn't offer a B&B rate. This, it turns out, was because the kitchen was being refurbished. We did get a room upgrade, with a four-poster bed, but the room was shabby and dirty, with a rather unpleasant smell coming from the en-suite. Not really... More

Stayed here for two nights in a single room. Was very average. Single bed that was quite old, sink, small bathroom. Large tv. No toiletries were supplied apart from a tiny fragment of soap that had clearly been worn down, and a small pack of cotton buds. SHOWER DIDN'T WORK. Owner told me the next day that it did, and... Dirty - thoroughly dirty. The stench from the filthy bathroom was overpowering - half used bath products left from previous occupants - no new ones provided in addition - no tea bags provided - room un vacuumed..... the list goes on. Very disappointing for £130 room only per night - wouldn't want to eat here though in all honesty!

We booked a room at the hotel and only realised at the last moment it was a single room. I cancelled it within seconds, but was charged £59 for cancelling. When pointed out it stated " free cancelation" I was informed that it's only free if you cancel more than seven days prior, and they refused to refund my money.... More
