This place is ace! From the selection of wines by the glass, to the room names, to the huge bath in the bathroom, everything has been carefully considered. Nothing was too much trouble. First we wanted to eat at the bar, then we moved back our dinner reservation three times before eventually deciding to eat a couple of starters outside... More

Firstly, it's not cheap. £225 per night for our room. However, you can see where the money goes. Big room. Massive bed. Lovely rainforest shower. Plush towels and robes. Beautiful public areas. The staff are first class. It's worth noting that you can park outside in the hotel bays, but it's £10 a day. Breakfast can cost £16, although you... More

Decent location very close to town centre but parking was a bit awkward - be careful as lots of private parking in area. Hotel seems to have around 20 reserved places so it's 1st come 1st served! And it's £10 for parking with hotel. Really friendly and efficient reception staff but as all rooms are named rather than numbered you... More

overall very disappointed and would not stay again. Food was hit and miss, as was the service. We were not warned about how loud the basement bedrooms below the restaurant get. Would strongly advise against taking one of these as it makes any chance of a lie in extremely unlikely!

Just returned after spending a night in this hotel. My family paid for a night bed and breakfast with evening meal for my wife and myself. This hotel was expensive and delivered at best average on all counts. The decor in all areas including the bedroom was drab. We had a drink in the bar/reception area. After paying more than... More

Having stayed before and had a lovely time my fiancée booked a night as a surprise. Very busy time of year so he paid a premium. I felt so bad for him as he was so disappointed; We were on the second floor and the room was simply too hot for comfort (hot a hot day we were in jumpers).... More

I stayed recently on business and the hotel has an excellent setting in the centre of Harrogate. The breakfast was excellent with well cooked and presented food. The bar was well stocked with different to the average hotel drinks which was good. The only drawbacks were the parking which was limited which meant you had to be on the street... More

Spent a couple of days there from Sunday and all in all it was a reasonably nice experience. The bed was certainly comfortable very deep and soft so a decent sleep was no problem when coupled with the lack of road noise in our room. The fact that you get a Nespresso machine was also good as more often that... More

No major criticisms but a few niggles which are easily resolved. The sink in the bathroom and the accompanying mirrors were very high, even for me at 5'8". The room was really hot and there was no air con/fan. The bathroom shower only had a fixed head, not a separate hose which meant you couldn't shower properly without getting wet... More

Booked via the HDV website a standard room, ticked the upgrade on arrival if available option, all fine. Arrived and were informed we had automatically been upgraded to the most expensive suite they have, we didn't have an option as our standard room had been sold on, not a problem we had ticked the box after all, but would be...
