I have just returned from a one night stay at The Balmoral Hotel in Harrogate. The hotel is in a good location only 10 minutes walk from the shops, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. The reception area, bar and restaurant are inviting and efforts have bee made to personalise the areas, these are comfortable and serve... More

Really liked this hotel. I have read the reviews that it needs a bit of tlc but I loved it. Staff went out of their way to make you happy and the hotel was spotless. Bed really comfortable and lovely egyption cotton sheets, I had a great nights sleep.

Great location in Harrogate (10 minute walk to the bottom of the high street) with the benefit of off-road parking. Friendly staff who were very welcoming and were happy for us to leave the car parked up all day after we'd checked out. The room (a junior suite) was a decent size with a small separate sitting area but was... More

Having been bought a voucher through Travel Zoo for bed and breakfast including afternoon tea. Don't bother with the afternoon tea, the sandwiches had been made up hours before being served and some of the fillings unidentifiable, the cakes were stale and the cheesecake (if that what it was) had not been chilled. On first impressions the hotel looks fine... More

I have just got back from a weekend break at this hotel with my boyfriend for our anniversary weekend. From the moment we arrived the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. We were given a map with directions to the centre (which is about a 10 minute walk away) and suggestions of places to visit. We booked into the Windsor... More

Staff - Very pleasant Breakfast - Good Room facilities - Good Decor - Dreadful Cleanliness - Good Service - Good I managed to get a deal on this hotel which was good value for money, I would not have been very pleased to pay full price as the hotel needs a good facelift.

Celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at the weekend and our kids booked us into the junior suite at the Balmoral. The huge four poster bed was very comfortable and the sheets were crisp white. The bathroom was very spacious and warm. The staff were very polite and friendly. The breakfast was fabulous, what a choice! The only little moan was... More

We stayed in this hotel for only one night but wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel receptionists were very welcoming as were all the staff. Our superior room was a delight. There were three glass chandeliers , one in a large square corner bay window where there was also a comfy armchair. The comfortable bed with pristine white... More

Lovely decor, so much nicer than the bland Travelodges etc, and a very comfy room. Well stocked with amenities (tea, coffee, shampoo, etc) Took the dog (£10 surcharge) and it's always nice to be able to take her with us! Breakfast was really nice, and the menu was so much better than the standard boring "Full English" (Mmm, Eggs Royale,... More
