Situated just on the outskirts of the town centre. We found this a good hotel, our room was large with a huge comfy 4 poster bed. The bathroom was quite big, good shower and huge bath towels. All the staff we dealt with where very helpfull. We had a breakfast and it was very good

My husband and I had the great privilege of staying in the beautiful Clarence Suite for two nights whilst attending a friends wedding in Harrogate. The room was decorated with beautiful furniture, a huge four poster bed and the bathroom simply gorgeous. .. the suites really are worth the extra money. The staff were friendly and welcoming and very quick... More

Stayed in one night for work conference in July. Beautiful day when we arrived and enjoyed gin and tonic with stripy blue straws. Staff on reception were really helpful and the loved the decor. My room was tastefully decorated and super comfy bed. Very clean. Bathroom small and due to the saloon style doors and having bedroom window open flashed... More

From the minute I arrived to the minute I left all the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble for them and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Our room (room3) was on the top floor and was large, with a bathroom and a nice view over the garden below and the quiet... More

Stayed here for friends birthday in Harrogate 12 ladies, we had 6 rooms booked all on different floors. The rooms are oldy worldy but beautiful no complaints at all. On arrival the staff could not do enough for us all the rooms were ready and we booked in quickly. We booked the package which includes afternoon tea, Italian evening meal,... More

Swopped to a standard room at the rear during Tour de France so nice and quiet - room 21. Nice room with king size bed and a bit of character. No squeaks from the bed and quite comfortable if a bit of a dip to the middle. Lovely bathroom but perhaps a bit dusty in places and slippy bath. Overall... More

We had such a brilliant stay at the Balmoral from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful (Steve and Jackie were amazing!), the rooms were huge and the beds were comfy. The Balmoral is located close to city center so we walked pretty much everywhere and the staff were always more than willing to call us a... More

A lovely hotel ideally located on the edge of town meaning it was quiet but an easy walk to restaurants, bars etc. the staff were very friendly, although at breakfast our waitress had very limited English and didn't understand our request for brown bread, so brought us white. For anyone who appreciates a hotel with period features over a bland... More

This hotel is not bad. There are several positives: Friendly (if computer challenged) staff (who had trouble producing a bill at checkout); nice reception area; excellent breakfast; and, most of all, the location, close to town. But the room wasn't ready when I arrived at 3PM. (Although they said it would be ready when I returned, an hour later it... More

This hotel looks lovely from the outside and is very well situated. The staff are warm and welcoming, the public areas are clean and modern and the breakfast is good. The free wi-fi worked well during our stay and we were provided with a useful list of room info. Car parking is offered - a huge bonus except for the... More
