This was our second stay at Sophies and was a one night birthday treat from my girlfriend. Upon arrival, Sophie had left us some complimentary cakes as the coffee shop was not open due to it being a Tuesday. This was a lovely gesture and one of those touches which made all the difference to our stay. The room was... More

The warm friendly welcome that we received upon arrival set the scene for the rest of our 2-night stay. The room was modern, well appointed and spotlessly clean, as was the tiled en-suite bathroom with a large corner bath, complete with shower over it. The freshly prepared and cooked excellent breakfast is served in the restaurant/coffee shop, with a wide... More

Spotless, very comfortable, quiet, with a brilliant breakfast to set you up for the day! No qualms about booking again. Sophie certainly deserves the five stars for all the hard work she and her team put in.

We stayed here for one night as we were attending an event nearby. We arrived late, but the owner was lovely about it and couldn't have been more helpful. We stayed in the attic which had beautiful rooms and velux windows that opened both ways to create a open area to stand and enjoy the view. The bed was so... More

This was by far the nicest accommodation that we have stayed in. The double room suite in the attic is spacious, light and airy and everything is immaculately clean. The separate bathroom is an added bonus. The delicatessen and coffee shop are very popular with both visitors and locals for obvious reasons: the breakfasts were well prepared from very tasty,... My girlfriend and I stayed at Sophie's this weekend for 2 nights and, quite simply, it was the best B & B I have had the pleasure of staying in. We were in the double room which was beautifully decorated and airy and with a bed you simply didn't want to get out of!! The full English breakfast was clearly... More

Very warm welcome from Sophie upon arrival. Spotless, comfortable and quiet accommodation. Brilliant breakfast. Great location. Cute village. Convenient for local pub - 30 paces, which does reasonable food and very good beer. Altogether a wonderful place to stay.

We stayed for one night in the twin room which was great. Very clean, amazing bathroom and very comfy beds! Sophie is very nice and cooked a very very good breakfast: Full English with nice toasts and lovely jams! The village is gorgeous, very close to Harrogate. Would definitely go back :-)

Stayed at Sophie's as we were celebrating our 1st year together and also attending a wedding at Ripley Castle. The room is beautifully decorated and has breath taking views. The food is all locally sourced and is fab....cakes are to die for!!! The village has everything you need. My partner unbeknown to me was looking for the perfect place to... More
