Very warm welcome from Sophie upon arrival. Spotless, comfortable and quiet accommodation. Brilliant breakfast. Great location. Cute village. Convenient for local pub - 30 paces, which does reasonable food and very good beer. Altogether a wonderful place to stay.

We stayed for one night in the twin room which was great. Very clean, amazing bathroom and very comfy beds! Sophie is very nice and cooked a very very good breakfast: Full English with nice toasts and lovely jams! The village is gorgeous, very close to Harrogate. Would definitely go back :-)

Stayed at Sophie's as we were celebrating our 1st year together and also attending a wedding at Ripley Castle. The room is beautifully decorated and has breath taking views. The food is all locally sourced and is fab....cakes are to die for!!! The village has everything you need. My partner unbeknown to me was looking for the perfect place to... More

This is a perfect cafe to come to to meet friends for coffee and as a pit stop after a walk in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales which surround Hampsthwaite. Sophie always remembers a return customer, all staff are friendly and cheerful and the cakes are enough to make you put your diet on hold for the day!!

Spent three nights in Sophie's B&B located in the small quiet village of Hampsthwaite. The room we stayed in was modern, comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were good being from the coffee shop she also runs downstairs.

Very tasteful double bedroom with modern but subtle colour scheme. Bed very comfortable, especially if you like a very high tog feather duvet, we had to open a window during the night (unfortunately raining heavily!) as we were too hot. Couple of small issues: one bedlamp not working and although the family's accommodation is a above the rooms, I couldn't... More

We came up to Harrogate from London for a wedding and all the hotels in Harrogate were either full, way too expensive or just pretty unappealing. Luckily we found Sophie's little place. The two rooms they have are above their deli/cafe which serves lovely cakes, pies, coffees etc in a picturesque North Yorks village. The room, which was in the... More

Spent two nights at this friendly little B&B & coffeeshop just outside Harrogate. Rooms are modern, simple, comfortable and clean. Great breakfast - fresh, good quality produce & efficient service with a smile. Located in the small village of Hampsthwaite, the surrounding countryside is perfect for walkers and there is also an hourly bus service into Harrogate (less than 20... More

I booked 2 nights at Sophie's B&B for my partners birthday in September. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. We were not able to have breakfast in the excellent adjoining deli on the first morning as we had planned to be up early to go walking. Stephen arranged for us to have a packed lunch... More
