Stayed 1 night on business. Dont really agree with previous report and personally would definately stay there again if visiting Harrogate. Short walk uphill into town. Parking has improved as they have purchased a lot of parking spaces underneath the Hotel with a lift taking you up to reception. Rooms are adequate and clean but when I stayed it was... more

This is the worst hotel I've stayed at in England. - The carpet has crusty dark spots near the bed. - I booked over the phone and they booked a different rate than what I asked for, so I had to pay for the full trip even though I checked out early. Hotel staff was rude when I tried to... more

Stayed here for 2 nights as I was attending a conference at The International Centre. I was upgraded to an Executive Room which was lovely, the only complaint was the room was too hot, no air con and although I was on the 9th floor it was to noisy to have the window open all night. Bed was huge !... more

Lets tell you the honest truth about this hotel!! Car park - £5 per day - round the corner, down the road, down the metal slippy steps and you will then find the car park. If you are in any way disabled, or unfit - do not stay! The check in staff were very abrupt even though I am a... more

Excellent value for money, this hotel delivered on all counts. Yes, due to its size, meal times are frantic, and I suspect it would not take much for things to go wrong very quickly, but based on our experience, the service was great, the staff friendly, food excellent, rooms very comfortable (a small amount of noise through the interconnecting doors,... more

Just spent 3 days there attending a social conference with my wife. Apparently the hotel was refurbished in 2007 and and so far it has kept well. Covered access to the conference centre and five minutes walk to the centre of town. Food was good, the staff were generally pleasant and our only moan was over priced wireless internet. more

Excellent hotel stay. Large very comforable double bed. The room we had was on the 11 floor with great views over Harrogate. The staff were very efficent and friendly. The hotel's location is perfect and is within a slow 10 minute walk from shops, bars and resturants. The only fly in the ointment was the cost of two large gin... more

We only stayed for one night as we attended a wedding at the Sun Pavillion in Harrogate and we picked the Holiday Inn due to its central location and you certainly couldn't fault the city centre location. Everything is in walking distance. We had a room on the 10th floor with superb views over Harrogate and Yorkshire. I would say... more

Stayed on a superbreak for a couple of days which included breakfast and dinner on the first evening. great price, the room was fine, clean, etc. location is good, within walking distance of shops etc. My only disappointment was the really poor service for breakfast and dinner, they were understaffed and very inexperienced. They could not cope with the amount of people... more

When booking this hotel we requested a lower ground room so it could be easily accessed without having to use the lift but on arrival discovered that we were on the 8th floor ( I wonder where they would have put us if we had asked for a room on a high floor - on the ground ,presumably!). The person... more
