After staying in many hotels in Harrogate, the Ascot is by far the best. Friendly, courteous and helpful staff, great price and lovely building. We enjoyed an evening meal and breakfast which were both amazing, and the bar offers drinks at very reasonable prices. We stayed in room 4 which was great, super clean, king size bed, big tv, bath... Stayed for two nights in a standard room and most enjoyable. Warm welcome and very clean and well maintained. The breakfasts were exceptionally good, served by a very friendly gentleman, set us up very well for the day. One criticism was the bed linen was of a poor quality, the pillow cases particularly so but it wouldn't stop us recommending... More

Stayed two nights in a very comfortable , clean and well equipped room. Initial greeting very welcoming and all subsequent contacts with staff were equally pleasant. Did not eat apart from breakfast as visiting family but if the other meals are the same standard would not hesitate to partake. Overall would not hesitate in a future stay.

Stayed one night in Harrogate, and enjoyed the stay very much. We stayed in the Turret Room which was beautiful and had fantastic views. Pleasant and helpful staff, excellent breakfast, very close to town centre, would definitely stay again. I'd asked if a bottle of fizz could be put in our room as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary …we... More

This was one of the best accommodation experiences I have ever had. The hotel is conveniently situated in the city center, but with some distance with all the hustle and bustle of the central area. It is about 10 minutes walk from the train station; however, if you have luggage, you would be better off hoping on a taxi as... More

We stayed two nights at Ascot House and were most comfortable in this delightful late Victorian house. The welcome was very warm and all your would expect from a family run hotel. The waiting staff were lovely and we enjoyed talking to the Polish waitress and the Portuguese waiter as these are both countries we have visited and like very... More

What a delightful hotel. We stayed here with friends for two nights and experienced hospitality at its highest level. Our room was light, airy and spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the hotel. We dined in the hotel both nights and the food was simply superb and beautifully presented. The staff were welcoming and good humoured but the little... More

Booked this hotel very last minute but was very pleasantly surprised. Lovely warm welcome by reception staff, large room with huge comfy bed and modern bathroom with luxury toiletries. We had a drink and a bar meal, best beer battered cod and chips ever ! Again, breakfast couldn't be faulted and the staff were lovely and attentive. If we ever... More

We had a prompt and friendly greeting which gave me a good feeling which only got better during our stay. The room was lovely, clean, warm, quiet and with sufficient space. The ensuite was immaculate and a real pleasure to use. We had a tv, wifi and a DAB radio with alarm facility. Our bed was really comfortable and gave... More
