We decided to stay here after seeing a deal through Secret Escapes. Within our deal we got a 3 course meal and buffet breakfast. The hotel was certainly Majestic but very dated and run down. Our room was clean but had paint peeling off the walls, and the windows were in need of replacing. The meal we had wasn't worth... More

Large stately venue, located a pleasant 5 minute walk to everything fun in Harrogate. The Majestic is an old world styled hotel, nicely updated. Very comfortable. We were especially pleased that our dog Suzie was so warmly welcomed.

Stayed here as part of a Secret Escapes deal with dinner, bed and breakfast. Overall the experience was ok- there's nothing specifically "wrong" with the hotel, but it is a very old, tired place which appears to have had some time/ money spent on some areas but others are badly in need. Our room was large but very dated: the... More

My partner surprised me with a night away here so I cannot comment on the value but can definitely recommend the location. We were able to easily walk around Harrogate after parking our car at the hotel (for £5 overnight). They had us down for a twin room when we requested a double but this may not be the fault... More

Just returned from an overnight stay with family and friends in celebration of an 80th Birthday The rooms (237 and 238 executive) were immaculate. Room's were spacious and bright with a large bathroom. Beds were extremely comfortable with a choice of either soft or hard pillow. A good overall choice from the evening meal menu however our choice from the... More

Last year, I discovered The Majestic through work booking me in for business in Harrogate. A year on, I've come back with my partner, this time on a social one night stay over the Bank Holiday (Sunday night). Given the rate of the room (£108) Standard Double - Room 224 - there were a few things we liked and a... More

Had a really good stay here to coincide with the Gilbert & Sullivan Festival. It was as good as ever & we were lucky to get a lovely quiet room, probably the best we've ever had in our 6 yrs of staying there. Breakfasts are superb, except for the queues which built up to get into the restaurant and dinners... More

Bank holiday treat and we where not disappointed. Upgraded to a premier room which was huge and very comfortable. Had lunch on arrival on the terrace which was very good quality, normal hotel prices. Evening meal was in with the deal got to choose our wine with three delicious courses. Leisure club was disappointing but I had a lush relaxing... More

Just returned from a weekend break at the Majestic . Unfortunately it was somewhat disappointing, started with the complimentary bottles of water in the room which were not there ,the housekeeping levels were VERY poor on ,on the second day of our stay we returned to the hotel early evening to find that the bathroom waste bin had been emptied... A week in this hotel is just what the doctor ordered. A big single room (306), where the bathroom was larger than some bedrooms that I have had in other hotels was a good start, although the chair at the desk has not seen a cleaner for a long time. A good selection at breakfast, and an absolutely superb dinner... More
