Knabbs Ash B & B is a model of what B & B's are, or should be, all about.Lovely setting, beautifully decorated, "home-away-from-home" ambience, and, above all, a truly warm and caring couple as our hosts. We had discovered Knabbs Ash on a visit to Yorkshire in 2012 and made it a high priority, even imperative, to stay again on... More

A charming and delightful place to stay. One visit and you will be hooked! My family and I have stayed twice and each time we have hated to leave at the end of our stay. In fact, we plan our visit to Yorkshire so that we are able to stay at Knabbs Ash. We were welcomed with open arms and... More

Arrived in afternoon. Key tip listen to your host when she says ignore your satnav! Nothing worse than annoying the neighbours, luckily I noticed and reversed prior to meeting an oncoming tractor. Greeted with the friendship one expects from a trip to a best friends house. Tea tray and lovely lemon cake taken in the lounge with a lovely chat... More

Chose this B&B because of the outstanding reviews on Trip Advisor. It surpassed all our expectations and certainly lived up to it's reputation. A sincere warm welcome by Mrs Sheila Smith and a familiarisation chat over tea and cake. The room, bedroom 2, had everything you could have wished for with fantastic views over this rural setting. Sheila recommended a... More

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at Knabbs Ash B & B in early May 2015. It was the best overall experience we have had in over forty years of travelling. The stay began with a visit with the hostess Sheila over tea and cookies. She makes you feel that you are an old friend coming for a visit.... More

Knabbs Ash cannot be faulted. I visited with my husband for our anniversary and I could not have come to a better place. Sheila is a lovely friendly and welcoming hostess and remembered me from years before and we chatted for some time on arrival. She runs a beautiful establishment with lovely touches here and there - sherry in a... More

Knabbs Ash far exceeded our expectations! What a wonderful, inviting place. Our room was so charming & comfortable and we received a lovely reception upon arrival. Breakfast was delicious & I still think about the delicious porridge! Couldn't have been happier. Thank you Sheila! We hope to be back that way again.

Lovely B&B just outside Harrogate, very convenient. Sheila is a lovely welcoming host and made a delicious breakfast. The rooms were lovely, cosy and clean. The beds were very comfortable. There were lots of little extra touches. The views of the Yorkshire Dales were amazing, very good location for exploring the local area. Excellent value for money. I definitely recommend... More

Due to the dense fog we could not find Knabbs Ash so we parked up and rang Sheila for directions. She kindly came to meet us in her car and we followed her back. She made us very welcome and served tea & cake which was most welcome. Our room was lovely, very clean and cosy & with a wonderful... More

Sheila welcomed us warmly and offered us tea in the cosy communal sitting room. Knabb's Ash has the comforting feeling of visiting a kindly and fastidiously clean relative. The room we stayed in (3) was spotless and there was a glorious view from our bedroom window. Powerful shower, plenty of hot water, comfortable bed, even a decanter of sherry. There... More
