We (3 colleagues) arrived after a long trip from Wilrtshire to be greated by the owner. She was very friendly and told us where the rooms were. The room (number 2) was lovely, and literally the cleanest room I have ever stayed in. We went out for dinner as they don't serve food at the guest house. Breakfast was lovely,... More

Commuting to Leeds is fast, comfortable, easy, therefore, Harrogate is interesting as a place to stay in a more relaxed place. The Cavendish is at less than 10 minutes walk from the bus and railway station, it is facing the lovely Valley Gardens and the whole city center breathes old European spa athmosphere. There are many nice restaurants in the... More

Good central location, next to a very nice park. Both rooms we had were clean and comfortable. Very pleasant owner who went out of her way to make our stay perfect. After booking in and a wander around the park, we changed and ate in Luigi's situated almost next door (see review). The nights sleep was great and we rose... More

Stayed at the Cavendish recently.Great location. Very clean. Great service for breakfast. How can anyone moan. It is small yes and the shower room / toilet is very small. But how long is anybody in a bedroom. Not the cheapest B and B but compared to others in Harrogate it is a story of supply and demand. Well done I... More

Checked in to stay for 2 nights and was allocated Room 7. The door to the room was on the main staircase facing the rear of the property and very small. Although I was not expecting a large room having booked a single this room was very claustrophobic and not helped in the least by having a frosted window so... More

Brilliant central location for exploring harrogate. Rooms on the small side especially the tiny shower/toilet barely room to move, uncomfy chairs but a comfy bed. Breakfasts were a good standard. Unprofessional owners when faced with a price dispute.

Good Location close to main shops conference centre. Room clean but very small and blocked out window! Poor nights sleep as couple of young men staying were drunk disturbing all guests to the point were police were called. with the sisters saying "not our fault" breakfast left a lot to be desired with firstly having to wait 15mins for table... I would prefer not to share our experience as I wish to keep this place a secret to ensure they have a room available next time we visit. However as I found it through trip advisor only fair to spread the word. Best B&B we have stayed in, in Harrogate. Location excellent for exploring and proximity to town centre. Parking... More

nice location as not far from the conference centre, but our room only had 1 window that opened and the room was very warm. The owners attitude is appaulling, when talking or discussing problems with visitors to the hotel so if you do go make sure you have someone with you as they both go at you at the same time.... More

Having booked the entire hotel for two nights and agreed a price many months ago, our group leader was called the day before we were due to arrive informing her that the price had been increased by £5 pp per night!! On arrival she was verbally attacked by both sisters and on the second morning was reduced to tears. Very... More
