Very clean, lovely freshly-cooked breakfast (service was slow as we all arrived at the same as we were all at the same conference) but a lovely stay.Reasonably priced, free parking permits and wifi, close to everything, what's not to like?

We tend to stay here when we are in Harrogate. (So do TV stars and personalities, by the way). It's a family business and the hosts are very friendly and eager to go the extra mile to ensure guests feel at home. Breakfast is delicious and made to order, although the usual fruit, yoghurt and cereals are available as well.... More

We stayed in a family room, which had a small second bedroom for the children, with a bunk bed. The location is perfect. Parking was fine, with permits supplied by the hotel. The breakfast was extra good!

My daughter and I stayed here overnight and were very comfortable. It is only a short walk to the town centre in a very pleasant location opposite Valley Gardens. Breakfast was good and our room at the back was quiet and warm- no view but we were out most of the time.

The Cavendish is really well-placed: 5 minutes walk from three of the town's best pubs and most of its tourist sights. 10 minutes walk to most of Harrogate's eateries. The Cavendish is a large period house hotel, more B&B than hotel but it does have a bar and approx 20 rooms. The owner is fabulous, very friendly even booking us sunday lunch at a nearby pub for sunday. The location is great for Harrogate centre which is a good shopping eating and sight seeing town.
