My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend break in Harrogate. Sue was very welcoming, the breakfast was fantastic and the décor was beautiful throughout. We would have no hesitation recommending this lovely hotel to anyone staying in Harrogate.

A very comfortable and clean bed & breakfast run by a lovely lady called Sue who cooks the best breakfast ever! Tremendous value for Money and very central. I was upgraded to a double bedroom without having to ask and I am very grateful for the flexibility and kindness shown to me by Sue as I was unsure of the... More

We arrived on a friday afternoon to a empty B&B , Sue met us after 3 rings on the door bell with sadly a blank face as she had forgotten our booking , thankfully this was not a problem to our relief as she had a room and on talking remembered our booking talk on the phone which was very... More

Thank you for taking time to review us, we always take on board any feedback our guests have regarding Shelbourne House. I understood your phone call to be an initial enquiry, as details I would normally take to confirm a booking were not taken I opted to put you in that room, as your requirement when enquiring had been for... Shelbourne House is an awesome B&B which I would highly recommend to anyone and which will be my absolute first choice on future trips to Harrogate. The single rooms aren't huge, but are very comfortable with all that's required for an excellent stay. A lovely host in Sue and great breakfast (in particular the black pudding) is exactly what you... More

Thank you for your review. Our breakfast ingredients are locally sourced and the black pudding has won many awards, even beating the French!!. I am pleased you found us and hope when you have a nostalgic trip (in 10 years!) in Harrogate, you come back to Shelbourne House. Also a big thank you for your tips on local Aussie hotspots,... More

My first review in trip advisor and guilt after being on holiday in NZ has prompted me writing this 2 years late!! We only stayed 1 night in June 2011 because my wife loves Harrogate & we did a detour for her after landing in Manchester from Munich. Anyway the small room at the top was fine for a very... More

This was the second time in 20 months that my daughter and I have stayed at Shelbourne and it was just as wonderful as our first visit. Although it was only for two nights, Sue is such a lovely person, that when we left, it was like saying goodbye to a friend.

Thank you for the lovely review. The old cheesy cliche, come as a guest leave as a friend is a massive complement. We are very lucky to have many repeat guests, who over the years have become friends. It gives the house and us a great buzz to see familiar faces in the dining room and leave Shelbourne with a...
