First visit to Harrogate, to see the RHS gardens at Harlow Carr, and greatly impressed with the town and with Harlow Carr. Staying at Ashwood House made the break perfect though. The house was clean and tastefully decorated. It is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac just minutes' walk from the town centre, the shops, the railway station and the bus... More

I have stayed at Ashwood House on 3 separate occasions whilst attending an annual conference in Harrogate and have had another great stay! Ashwood House is really close to the conference centre and even closer to the Majestic Hotel where our conference dinner was hosted (approx 1 minute 30 walk home)... The room was clean and nicely furnished with a... More

Just back from a lovely stay here. Anita was so friendly and knowledgeable about Harrogate and made us feel very welcome. Our twin room was very comfortable and ideal for our needs, with ensuite bathroom and TV. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. The location was great - a cul-de-sac, so very quiet and peaceful. We travelled by train and... More

I stayed here four 4 nights on a trip to Harrogate. Anita was so helpful and friendly, which was great as I was travelling on my own. My room was great, especially for the price. Clean, modern with TV and broadbrand. Only a 5min walk to Harrogate on a very quiet back road with parking. Couldn't have asked for more... More

Harrogate is one of our very favourite places to stay in the UK, and when we go to there, we stay at Ashwood House. It's very well situated in Harrogate, just a few minutes' walk from the town centre and all its lovely shops, is within easy reach of both railway station & bus station, and a pleasant 10 minutes'... I transfered to The Ashwood after deciding to extend my stay in Harrogate. The location of the guest house is ideal in a quiet location within walking distance of the town centre. The room I was shown to was spacious and clean with tea and coffee making facilities. The decor was a little dated and very dark but not offensive.... More

Thank you very much for your comments but I do feel that you may have got us mixed up with another guest house, as we do not have any coloured bathroom suites, they are all modern and white and the water is run off the mains so has maximum pressure possible. All the rooms were refurbished so are all light... More

I had always wanted to see the Yorkshire Dales but did not want to be too remote so Harrogate seemed to be the obvious choice. After much research I decided on Ashwood house and I was not disappointed. From the warm welcome to the time of departure I always felt comfortable and at ease. The proprieters Kristian and Nita were very... More

I have been visiting Harrogate for ten years and have a point to stay at Ashwood House which without doubt has a superior level of comfort and service. The breakfast is delicious and the friendliness of both Anita and Christian make the whole experince very enjoyable. When I travel with my husband he and Christian disappear for round of golf,... We booked our stay after reading so many positive scores on Trip Advisor. We have done this so may times and never been disappointed but this time we were. There were in fact many positives to Ashwood House - the welcome from the proprietor (we presume that is who she was) - the delicious cooked full breakfast (one of the... More

Firstly I would like to thank you for your very kind comments regarding our breakfast and the cleanliness of our home. I do agree that the room you stayed in was a bit dated, but by the time you wrote your review, that was already in the process of being completely refurbished. This room, as with the others, now has... More
