Very tastefully decorated guest house with good facilities. Very clean. Hosts very welcoming. Wonderful breakfast. My only criticisms: smell of cigarette smoke wafting occasionally through from? staff quarters - off putting if you're not a smoker. Bed not amazingly comfy but individual ideas of comfort vary and I am quite picky. Would be nice to have fairtrade tea and coffee... More

The welcome at Scotia House is so warm & friendly. Everywhere is so clean and attractive. My Bedroom was lovely with extras to make the stay comfortable. The breakfasts were fantastic with a good variety of fresh fruit and cooked or continental. Nothing was too much for Marie. She is extremely knowledgable about where to go in the area and... More

Located just opposite the Harrogate Conference Centre this wonderful B and B is, of course, ideal if you are at a conference. But it is also perfectly located for any visit to this lovely town. The rooms are very clean, well furnished and equipped with a generous range of consumables. The breakfast is freshly cooked to order with flexible choices... More

We stayed here for two nights, the room was a delight, the breakfast was amazing and Marie and family were outstanding as hosts, there was nothing we could have asked Marie about Harrogate that I'm sure she would not have known, places to eat, drink, etc. Scotia House is immaculate, friendly, and inviting, nothing was too much trouble Marie made... Have stayed several times on solo trips to Harrogate and been warmly welcomed each time. Room comfortable and very clean, bathroom very nice and spotless. Excellent breakfast, free disc parking adjacent and very close to town centre. Would highly recommend. F.M.

Just back from a lovely weekend in Harrogate at the Scotia House. It is the perfect B&B. Marie the owner is so welcoming as are her family. The rooms are spotlessly clean with every amenity you could need. Breakfast was delicious, so much choice and perfectly cooked. I think some of the bigger hotels could learn from Marie about customer... More

The cleanest b&b, lovely breakfast choices, fresh fruit, yoghurt and full english! Warm welcome from all the family. Rooms with all you could need including biscuits and a jar of sweets, bottled water and a choice if teas. The beds were the most comfortable ever with toppers and feather pillows. Thank you both xx

I normally avoid small hotels because they are usually horrible but here everything exceeded my expectations by a big margin. Run by a great lady with a great personality this place deserves to be on everyones to do list if you ever considered staying in Harrogate over night. 5 out of 5. You won't be disappointed.
