I booked a single and a double room at this B&B rather at the last minute, as most other reasonably priced places in Harrogate were booked up. Following the sat nav directions, we went up the wrong road and asked a gentleman for directions to Aston Living. He began a damning tirade of the place, saying he would rather sleep... More

I booked this place as I was going to a Wedding in Harrogate and didn't want to drive home, unfortunately Cedar Court where the wedding was being held was full and it was the flower show which consequently meant the majority of hotels/B&Bs were full. When I booked I said I needed to check in about 11 as the wedding... More

Stayed here by default- Every other room in Harrogate booked up - but we now know why this 'Hotel' had rooms available !!! After stepping over the black rubbish bags , Reception was non existent and as full of rubbish as the entrance- rooms disgusting , no towels, broken tv in both rooms , awful smells and as for the... Stayed here for three nights-dreaded going back to the room every night. Couldn't face breakfast in the morning-the thought of eating breakfast cooked here was unbearable. Was so glad when we finally checked out. Really regretted paying upfront. Do not ruin your trip by staying here. Even the thought of it still makes me itch. It is run down and... More

I satyed in this "hotel / B&B" for a trade show in July 2012, as an ex service man I have stayed in some rough places in time but nothing compaired to this. I paid £65 per night for 4 nights and have never been asked for payment up front before, now I know why. The place is a mess,... More

See my review for Ashley House, Harrogate. Clarify which Hotel the owner intends you sleep in before you arrive or else you will get Hernia carrying you luggage from one Hotel to the next! They own four and what you book is not what you get!!

Me and a few friends stayed their recently and whilst getting ready to go out on the town we heard voices outside our bedroom door. We had a nosey and it was a policeman chatting to a resident on the same floor. Intrigued we carried on getting ready and proceeded to wait in reception for our friends. Not long after... More

We had actually booked the Azalea House hotel, but were met there by Eastern European builders who were apparently fixing plumbing. We were informed that we'd been 'upgraded' to Aston Hotel around the corner. We were met by the owner who took my details and my money before leading us through to our room and explained "Someone may try and... More

Pulling up at the driveway, my heart sank. What a mistake I made in booking this. I thought I'd give it a chance and at least look at the room.....I felt like I needed a good scrub after entering the property. The guy showing me round was very nice, almost apologetic about the place. I told him it was not... More

" Abandon hope all ye who enter here" It really is the pits. I stayed with some colleagues for a recent conference. The minute we arrived we had a sinking feeling and it got worse. The owner has several low grade places in Harrogate, and this is the lowest. It appears to be used to house the hotel workers, and... More
