Somehow ended up paying twice for the booking of one room as a result of their e-commerce site crashing before payment could be confirmed. Only one booking confirmation was ever received & attempts to secure reimbursement were well & truly thwarted. Had a final (second) response from Customer Services Team confirming their decision & that any further e-mails would not... more

Noisy doesn't quite do this place justice. The nightclubs are literally across the road and they are noisy. VERY NOISY. Just when you think the noise of the queue of drunken, screaming low-life's waiting to be frisked has subsided - around 1.30am you're left with the thumping of muffled drum and base. Even with doubled glazed windows closed. Directions on... more

We booked here for 2 nights when attending a friends wedding near by because we got a £19 per room per night deal. Unfortunately we were in an even number room which was just over the road from a string of nightclubs which meant the stay was very noisy even with the windows closed. Everything else was fairly normal Travelodge.... more

Stayed at the Travelodge in Peterborough during the first weekend of August 2009, the hotel is easy to find and located a few minutes walk away from the main shopping area and less than a 10 minute walk from the Cathedral. The location is good for local nightlife and shopping and the building is of new design. The ground floor... more

Place was clean and basic, but heater did not work in room. All the even number rooms overlook a nightclub and bar complex, so loads of noise until 5am. As it is cheap, it seems to attract youngster there for nightlife, so lots of noise of people coming back from their clubbing through the night and idiots trying to get... more

I stayed in the Travelodge Peterborough Central for one night in September 2008. It was a Thursday night and the hotel was not full, yet they put me in a room overlooking the night club and bowling alley, for a Thursday night I was surprised by the amount of noise going on outside, goodness only knows what it would be... more

It was clean, it was warm and the staff were excellent. You don't expect any luxury at a Travelodge, and it was as expected. But it was comfortable, and despite the proximity to all the nightclubs, the double glazing did the trick and I slept through the saturday night noise. there was a car park across the road, paying £3.50... more

I have stayed at this hotel 4 times this year, but I will not stay there again unless I am not taking the car (which is very unlikely) The hotel is everything you would expect from a budget hotel chain - clean rooms with good facilities. The hotel is on the fringe of the town centre so you have a... more

Well, I am still smarting from the stay as it was only two nights ago and I have nowhere near recovered. We found it OK (use the postcode on Google maps, don't use the map on their website as it's wrong; the hotel is on New Road, not Wellington Street!) and parked in the car park over the road (£3.50... more

Actually, I suppose grim is a little unfair- you gets what you pay for (or what the comapny pays for on business) but I would really advise paying a bit more. For a start despite being centrally located, it isn't easy to get to with the one way system. It looks like a blue-metal clad multi storey above an indian... more
