Place was clean and basic, but heater did not work in room. All the even number rooms overlook a nightclub and bar complex, so loads of noise until 5am. As it is cheap, it seems to attract youngster there for nightlife, so lots of noise of people coming back from their clubbing through the night and idiots trying to get... more

I stayed in the Travelodge Peterborough Central for one night in September 2008. It was a Thursday night and the hotel was not full, yet they put me in a room overlooking the night club and bowling alley, for a Thursday night I was surprised by the amount of noise going on outside, goodness only knows what it would be... more

It was clean, it was warm and the staff were excellent. You don't expect any luxury at a Travelodge, and it was as expected. But it was comfortable, and despite the proximity to all the nightclubs, the double glazing did the trick and I slept through the saturday night noise. there was a car park across the road, paying £3.50... more

I have stayed at this hotel 4 times this year, but I will not stay there again unless I am not taking the car (which is very unlikely) The hotel is everything you would expect from a budget hotel chain - clean rooms with good facilities. The hotel is on the fringe of the town centre so you have a... more

Well, I am still smarting from the stay as it was only two nights ago and I have nowhere near recovered. We found it OK (use the postcode on Google maps, don't use the map on their website as it's wrong; the hotel is on New Road, not Wellington Street!) and parked in the car park over the road (£3.50... more

Actually, I suppose grim is a little unfair- you gets what you pay for (or what the comapny pays for on business) but I would really advise paying a bit more. For a start despite being centrally located, it isn't easy to get to with the one way system. It looks like a blue-metal clad multi storey above an indian... more

Stayed at the Travelodge on a night out. Hotel was basic, cheap and clean. Was everything we expected. Nothing fancy. One thing I would warn people about is there is no parking attached to the hotel. There is disabled parking at the back, but don't park here if you don't have a badge. Also, the hotel is surrounded by double... more

We stayed at the Travelodge in Peterborough city centre for one night as part of my birthday celebration weekend which saw us visit York as well. The only reason we stopped in Peterborough was because the train was far cheaper to overnight, basically costing us £5pp single from Norwich to Peterborough. Travelling the next day (Saturday) the GNER prices were... more

I'm not going to start off by slagging off Peterborough but I was perplexed when I found out that every hotel in Peterborough was jam packed on a Wednesday night?!?!? Why??? Anyways, that left me with the only option of the Travelodge Central, and given that I was on a business trip and therefore not paying myself I was less... more

We stayed at the Travelodge Peterborough Central for 1 night on Friday 22 Dec 2007. We booked a Family room as from experience you always get a bigger room and a sofa too. As this Travelodge is new, everything in the room was working and spotless and because of that it is hard to fault. However, just be aware of... more
