This hotel is set alongside the A1 and is very convenient for visiting Peterborough, Stamford and the surrounding area. We were greeted on arrival by the friendly receptionist and in our room in less than 5 minutes. Our room faced the A1 and I expected to be kept awake by the traffic but I wasn't. There was a sheet on... More

We stayed overnight on the 14th March and found the staff ore than helpful though not too keen on the bed in our room. This was the only fault I found so thumbs up and a big thanks to the staff also the Little chef next door was excellent

We stayed at Alwalton travel lodge for 2 nights. This travel lodge is on the busy A1. We stayed in a room at the front of the building therefore had road noise. I usually cannot sleep in a noisy enviroment but with the windows closed it was only a slight rumble and didnt stop me from sleeping, but I would... More

Price for rooms is low, but this shows that generally in life, you get what you pay for. Reception staff smoking at entrance door upon arrival and when exiting later on. The hotel has a tired feel and would benefit from a refit / decoration. Room was tired, especially the bathroom. It is unecessary to see mould in shower corners... More

Arrived slightly early but Receptionist was more than helpful, I think her name was Louise, checked us in and made sure we had everything we needed, There were several rooms booked for the Family as we were in the area for a funeral, She was very kind and thoughtful and took the time to ask us if everything has been... This Travelodge is small and ugly. The noise from the adjacent very busy road was intolerable. There was only a hard, plastic desk chair in the room, and there was a big empty space where two comfy chairs and a table would normally be. But the worst thing was the specially made coil spring mattress. It conforms to your body... More

Hotel was friendly but room was dirty and the main issue was the noise from the A1 which meant virtually no sleep. Good pub around the corner the Cuckoo for food. Car Parking was poor and will not recommend staying here

Stayed a couple of nights, first impressions weren't great - crowds of Eastern Europeans chatting loudly outside but once inside the staff were pleasant, the reception area needed a hoover lots of mud on the surface I suspect from the group above... This was sorted by next morning. Upon entering my room, it seemed clean - slight smell of marijuana... More

Good, usual, clean functional room, did the job nicely. Bit of noise from the A1 but otherwise OK. Always good value from Travelodge, but I personally find £20 fee to take a dog is very pricey...but at least they take dogs :-)

The staff were very friendly and the room has been done in the new look The bathroom is very dated. Unfortunately the new taps and lotion dispensers don't do much to modernise the ageing bathroom. However you can't beat Travelodge for cheap comfortable stay. Just take earplugs for the road noise!
