...that have always made a difference at the Bell and why it was always one of our regular haunts since moving to the area 10years ago. However over the last couple of years the usual flawless service has not been as consistent and hence have knocked it off our 'top of the list without a doubt'. Eg Saturday we arrived... More

Thank you for your comments, we very much appreciate the time taken to review the hotel. I am disappointed to hear that you found our service and overall demeanour not up to our usual high standard. I would like to thank you for the positive comments especially regarding our Bar Manager, Sue and our well tended surroundings. In hindsight I... More

I got married 18th july at the bell inn. I was so impressed with the service from everyone on the team. I had no stress on the day so i could enjoy my day. I would recommend the bell inn to anyone that is looking for a venue. The food was amazing (especially the chocolate brownies). The room that we... More

We had dinner which was very good, breakfast which was quite good. Our room was clean but tatty and very dated. If the room was historically classic in its Decor it would have been better, but it was tatty 1970s. Pretty courtyard

We visited the Bell twice in a week recently and ate in the Bistro on both occasions. The first was with father-in-law who was visiting from France and it was pretty good. The starters of soup, pate and black pudding were great and came out promptly followed by two cod and chips, a lamb shoulder and a special of apricot... More

Last Friday I attended a small family wedding at the Bell in Stilton said to be the birthplace of a certain Stilton blue cheese. The Bell inn dates back to 1642 and is a beautiful building retaining a lot of its old coach house features. Great rear courtyard. And grounds Room tariffs are not too expensive either starting around £95.00.... More

Arrived. 12.15 on 13 June. Very hot day but able to secure one of the last outdoor tables in the courtyard. Ordered sandwiches and a bowl of chips which were superb - door steps, white or whole grain with homemade crisps and coleslaw. A variety of fillings available. Great value at £4.95 for a 3* hotel! A la carte menu... More

It was flawless! We didn't have to chase for anything. I had arranged for bacon sandwichs for when the grrom and wedding party arrived to stave off any fainters or tummy rumbles. The room service food was amazing, some sort of crayfish and cucumber sandwich and others! DEVINE! I can't thank Jo, Tom, Helen and everyone else there enough for... More

My husband and I stayed overnight on Friday 6th June 2014 as we were attending a fabulous wedding. All of the staff were very efficient and friendly. Food was FANTASTIC all arrived steaming hot and fresh! We had the double room overlooking the courtyard, a little balcony with a table and 2 chairs, which was a bonus. The room and... More
