Weather dreadfully wet but a warm welcome with a real fire in the bar helped lighten our mood. Our meal in the restaurant on Saturday evening was simply superb with great service. Staff were both lovely and attentive but not over the top. Room was spacious with a comfy bed, but walls a little thin especially as bathroom is next... More

The bedroom was lovely & spacious, the homemade biscuits in the room each day are a really nice, thoughtful touch. We dined in the restaurant on our first night which was delightful, the food at the Queens Head Inn really is delicious. The staff are amazing - everyone was exceptionally friendly & helpful & they made our stay very enjoyable.

We had a special deal with Livingsocial for 2 nights B&B with a bottle of wine if dining in the restaurant the first night. The hotel is charming, the chalets are large and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. The food is exquisite and memorable. A tip if dining on a Friday night is to order as early as possible to... We stayed here on a Living Social deal and it was great. The rooms are individual lodge style with a large bedroom and seperate shower room. Large wardrobe and plenty of drawers etc. Lovely and warm when we arrived and heating was easy to control to suit individual needs. Lovely clean bathroom with thick fluffy towels and compliementary toiletries. The... More

My wife and I had tried one of the classic lodges breaks a few years ago (in Harrogate) and was very impress, so decided to try another one of the lodges along with our friends (another couple). We were nervous as we had never been to this particular hotel and did not want to disappoint our friends. However, we should... More

A wonderful weekend with friends in an idyllic location. Comfortable rooms although the plumbing in some of the rooms is a little noisy. The food is really good and varied at a competitive price. The staff are cheery and helpful and were attentive to our needs without being pushy. It's location is by the side of the River Nene with... More

I can`t rate the Queens head high enough. From the very first unannounced visit, the initial booking, the pre wedding planning and the big day itself, everything was faultlessly organised, communicated and managed. Nothing seemed to be to much trouble, every query was dealt with in the most efficient manner. The management and staff are politeness personified. The food magnificent, the... More

Lovely place. Friendly staff, beautiful food. Would return. Plenty of places of interest in the local area. A return visit in the summer to take advantage of the hotels lovely riverside location may be necessary!

We got married at the Queens Head in June 2014 and we really couldn’t be happier with the venue. We had the ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception in the Garden Room. Agata the wedding coordinator is fantastic and so helpful, I was constantly sending her emails with questions leading up to the big day and she got back to... More
