If you want to experience what is probably the best Steak in the UK whilst enjoying a traditional and atmospheric country inn environment then I can't recommend the Queens Head in Nassington enough. I have always found the staff to be extremely welcoming, polite and professional. You have the opportunity to enjoy a drink in the lounge bar (with open... More

A delightful village Inn with surprisingly spacious and comfortable Chalet accommodation adjacent to the river Nene.A warm welcome from friendly staff awaited with good beer and good food .The food is good from a Chef who seems very talented by his choices and his presentation.Portions are small though and expensive in my view but many of the locals will enjoy... firstly the waiter asked us for our food order before we had even given our drink order. We asked to see the vegetarian menu and were told that three dishes were available one of these contained fish and chorizo. We also asked about the tomato gel and were assured this did not contain gelatin. the waitress came with some bread... More

I had read the previous reviews and thought maybe people were being a bit picky but I have to say I agree. We arrived about 5pm and were delighted by the setting - a traditional pub in a nice village with a lovely seating area at the back by the river Nene. We checked in to room 1 and were... More

stayed for one night due to business nearby, and was completely caught out by how lovely the location was. our chalet room overloked the river nene, and was very well equipped. The highlight of the evening was the food, which was very close to mitchelin quality. A very gifted chef provided one of the best menus i had come accoss... More

Our reception was very cold from who we throughout initially was the local people but was actually the owner and some friends. My daughter and son came with us - 10 year old and 8 year old. It was 6:30pm and the bar was quiet. When we were seated in the bar area the owner and friends were bitiching quite... More

Thank you for taking the time to write although unfortunately I cannot agree with your comments. We are very much a child friendly establishment with children's packs and a dedicated children's menu. Perhaps you should visit on a Friday night when there are lots of families in. The Grand parents I was talking to were commenting on how the world... More

Found this place via Daily Mail rewards and really were not expecting much - how wrong could we be. Fantastic setting and a beautiful village. Peaceful and relaxing. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Dinner was fabulous although we ordered some Nibbles in lieu of Starters and got our mains before we had finished them! Quality of food was excellent, tasty... More

This was a delightful part of the UK and would highly recommend for walkers. Food good at the hotel and staff extremely helpful and attentive. didn't like the doormat that is in hallway and has to be navigated on the way to the bathroom and shower room needs updating. It's very much in the motel style and detached from the... More
