I've never stayed here but always drive up from Hull for the food. I've eaten just about everywhere and always like to try new places but I can genuinely say in the hole of East and North Yorkshire this is by far the best. Prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are very good, always cooked to perfection. My... More

We have been going to the oak wheel for 3 years now as we have a caravan just down the road. In the 3 years we haven't had a bad meal and look forward every time we are at the van to going. The staff are very friendly and efficient the food is the best you can get at the... More

We stayed at The Oakwheel Inn a few years ago and had said we would go back one day and so when we needed a hotel for a couple of nights in the area to break up a road trip this was the first place we thought of and wanted to book. The rooms are really nicely decorated and comfy,... More

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and ensuite were a good size and had everything you needed. Room was nicely decorated and good value. The breakfast was good and the evening meals were very good, would definitely recommend eating there too. Good location, not far to drive to explore the coast. I would stay again.

Stayed here with my husband for 2 nights 10 &11may. Had lovely time. Owners & all staff very friendly. We stayed in twin room, it was the only one available when we booked. It was very spacious & clean with a good sized bathroom. Ate there on the Saturday evening & the food was superb (great sirloin steak, chef) & plenty... More

This is a belated review, having stayed 7 nights at the Oakwheel during July 2013. The accommodation and hospitality are excellent. Clean and comfortable rooms, good food, the breakfast and bar meals are great value. Ideally located for walks along the Cleveland Way, visits to Scarborough and Whitby. Burniston and Cloughton villages are clean and tidy, nice tea rooms at... More

Our second stay at this inn, even had the same room allocated. Nice clean room, comfy bed and the pub meals are excellent, not a big menu but you get a big plate full of food and lots of veg. The full English breakfast is huge and worth every penny. Staff are friendly and more than happy to offer advice... More

My wife and I stayed here for one night in March. We had room number 1 which was very spacious with a nice bathroom. When we arrived we were made very welcome and shown to our room. The lady booked us a table for the evening meal and we also booked the breakfast for the next morning. The bar area... More

Where do I start?! We arrived and were greeted by friendly happy staff. We were then showed to our room, which was immaculate, smelt fantastic and was cosy and welcoming. We were asked if we were going to be eating at their pub and we said yes (we had already heard fantastic reviews) she stated that she would book a... More
