I stayed at this motel with my moderately mobility impaired father. I asked for a ground floor apartment if possible and this request was granted. We had a warm welcome on arrival. The room was comfortable and met our needs more than adequately. It had a large enough spa bath and very comfortable beds with good linen. Unfortunately the cleaning... More

We stayed in here 1 night on spec. The motel was fairly new and well run and clean. Our room had a spa bath which was a bonus feature. But quite a bit of road noise and a digger worked till 2am across the road from the hotel. Two rooms one was a bedroom both had TVs. Good amount of... More

We stayed here as a last minute decision when arriving on a late flight. It is quite basic, however everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff are nice and friendly. It will do the trick for a night’s sleep although it is over-priced @ $160/night.

We stayed in a studio unit close to the raod . It was very nice, well presented and clean. The kitenette was well equiped with hot plates and a microwave. The bathroom was nice and clean and it with a spa bath. The ony down side was the road noise. Even with the doors closed you could still hear a... More

We were getting discouraged looking for a hotel in Christchurch. We had a 2bedroom unit and found it to be fine and large enough for our stay. My only complaint would be that there was either a concert or sporting event nearby and it was a noisy night until around 11:30. I imagine it would have been the same in... More

Riccarton Motor Lodge looked good on the Internet when we booked it but it really let us down! However, firstly the positives: fairly close to a Westfield shopping centre and also quite an easy drive to the centre of Christchurch; the gentleman in Reception was very pleasant and obliging; the water pressure in the shower was great; the kitchenette was... OMG This place is a shoe box.The bathroom has chipped tiles, the bathroom is interesting no separate shower area,it's all one floor!!No air circulation as you have to keep the windows closed to keep out the traffic noise. The property has obviously been painted an it does look good from the outside but that's where it finishes.Want some where good to stay... The lodge is within walking distance to Westfield Mall. The room is very clean and good size. We were given an upgrade to a 2-bedroom unit. The room had more than enough bath towels and was nicely lit (I don't like dingy lit rooms). There are many TV channels - even soccer channels that show the EPL and Champions League... More

I was accommodated, first, in a one bedroom unit and then in a studio unit. Both were very comfortable, immaculately clean, attractively decorated and had well appointed kitchenettes- with a microwave as well as a two plate hob and fridge. The one bedroom unit had a spa bath. The beds were comfortable. Both units in which I stayed had outdoor... More

I had to stay here for work and I was really expecting to have to stay in some dingy motel as we had to choose somewhere that was close to where we were working. This place was great, it is basic but the rooms are all very clean and comfortable. It was quite cold down in Christchurch but my room... More
