We arrived on a very wet Saturday with a new motorbike and we were so well looked after by the managers. Really lovely, friendly people. Room was clean and nice. Good location for access on foot to shops etc.

If you need bang for buck don't stop here, now that's the down side. I had the one bedroom unit with spa bath, shower and cooking facilities. However the staff are friendly and willing to go the extra mile. Now down to the room. Clean and tidy - Good start - However it is very cramped with not a-lot of... More

I was very disappointed with the room we stayed in , we thought given the price we paid $750 for 4 nights and by the pictures on there website we would of got a decent sized room , our two back packs took up all of the space , it was smaller than tiny .. The Nosy builders working on... More

we stayed 1 night in the family room in Dec 2011 before catching our flight back to KUL. 4 adults 1 baby. surprisingly comfy though it seems kinda small (its a motel anyway...). Trust me, you can't fit more than 4 adults for family room...the staff were friendly and room was clean..basic amenities were there.. what i like most is... More

Great place to stay, just the best. Close to all amenities, and has everything you need when traveling, All cooking facilities including frypan. You can go wine and dine at Restaurants or simply purchase Snapper Fillets from Pak & Save across the road with a nice Bottle of wine, and cook the fish yourself. No problem with this place. I... We went to Christchurch in June before the devastating quakes last year. We were on a driving holiday and decided to ditch our booked so-called villa ( in fact it's a run down house, smelly, creepy and gloomy ) My children were too scare to stay in that villa. We drove around Christchurch to look for a night to stay,... More

Have just had three nights staying at Kings. We were greeted by very friendly staff and a basket of yummy, freshly baked muffins. Our studio room was compact but had a well equiped kitchen area, ensuite and a little courtyard with table and chairs. Spotlessly clean and the grounds and buildings are well maintained. Westfield Shopping Centre is a two... More

Stayed for one night in this motel before continuing on to the west coast. The room was modern, very clean and comfortable. Its in a great location right next to the Westfields shopping complex, and on the main road heading out west of Christchurch. We stayed in a room at the back of the motel so it was quiet. Friendly... I've previously stayed at the 162 Kings (which is joined by the Majestic, operated by the same company), back in April 2007. Management has recently changed from Mike & Liz to a new family, which gave me a little surprise on arrival, as I was expecting a Kiwi greeting but we still received the same warm and friendly service -...
