On the eve of the Ireland v South Africa international rugby match the hotel put on the best dinner on the theme of a South African menu I have yet to better There were many folk from that country who endorsed that sentiment. The lamb mince main course was simply tasty. The desserts were amazing from twisted sisters to mel... More

Stayed at the Grand Hotel wicklow, rooms are clean and tidy, bed linen was fresh and the bathroom, shower was really clean. I would recommend this hotel, in particular the breakfast the following morning was great, i had the full Irish breakfast and thought it was fantastic. The staff were helpful and polite. A double room with breakfast was about... More

We stayed here for one night because the location was perfect, right in the centre of Wicklow & their website said that there was wifi in the rooms which I needed to do some work. Our room was very basic & it looked like it needed a refurb. The bed was very uncomfortable - more like a hostel than a... More

We were in the neighborhood when it was time to stop for the day. There weren't a whole lot of B&B's or places to stay. Seemed like everything in this area was full and if it wasn't full it was VERY overpriced. Stayed here because the only other choice was to keep driving. We even got a bit of price... More

Grand hotel was a lovely location in wicklow town.. we got a lovely welcome from the receptionist and advise us how the sights around. Our room was a family room and three proper beds with plenty off room to move..For a hotel in centre off town our room was very quiet. Our waitness at breakfast was helpfully .. We will... More

Hotel was in a good location so i think thats why they get away with their prices. Hotel rooms deffinatly need a complete renovation. Computers were out of order. Wifi was so slow it kept cutting off. In the morning the shower just turned off because the hot water ran out.

This lovely country house was built outside Wicklow in 1876 by a retired sea captain called Robert Halpin and the wonderful timber used in the house for doors and floors came from all over the world and still looks so good today. We booked afternoon tea for Sunday and the hotel was really busy with large parties booked in for... More

Party of five decided to give the place a shot on a Thursday. Never been there or heard anything about it and the menu looked nice online so we thought why not. I am quite easy when it comes to food. greeted with a bar in need of refurbishment and toilets that smelt of urine, nothing wrong with that, I... More

As a family treat I regularly take my family to The Grand Hotel for dinner. The menu is really lovely and offers a wide range of choice. Food wise we are never disappointed. However the service is very poor especially for a hotel. Every time we sit down we are ignored and bar staff never make eye contact. We are... More
