This was the third time our fishing crew stayed here. Last year was very iffy in terms of reliability and service but under new management things have improved greatly. The rooms are a bit basic but average for a 3 star establishment, there is a separate bar for residents and a main bar where they serve better than average pub... More

Stayed 3 days at the grand, staff are so friendly, foods gorgeous, but the place needs a good overhaul, the lobby is so dark and old, and the corridors are badly in need of a lick of paint, the fire doors were filthy, bedrooms are very dated, and the bathroom tiles were cracked and old, we didnt have any cold... This hotel is a case of faded glory. The lobby and the restaurant have an unkempt look. Impossible to get service in the restaurant, so we left after a while without consuming anything. The room and bathroom were decorated very sparsely; furniture from the seventies. The showerhead was attached to the wall, but too low: washing your hair was a... More

Our rooms were average, however the noise from the night club was so loud you could not get any rest. in addition there were numerous fights out side our window not just our window but on the other side of the hotel it was just as bad. The breakfast staff could have cared less whether we ate or not., Upon... More

Drove to Wicklow yesterday for a day out . Stopped at Grand Hotel for lunch what a waste of time. Service slow but pleasant food dry and unedable left it all on plate was given 10% off the bill big deal .

This hotel is well located near the centre of Wicklow town, it has free parking and free WiFi throughout. The staff were courteous, friendly, and happy to help. The food in the bar was good and reasonably priced. The room was comfortable allow the TV was dated but had all the main channels. The bathroom had a bath with shower... More

The Grand is in a good location and has its own good restaurant and bar, which are reasonably priced. The Breakfast was excellent and the service was very good. The rooms we had were very big and clean, with tea and coffee - there were two main issues WIFI in the rooms is a bit of a myth, we were... More

It's taken a while for me to write this review - sorry!! My husband arranged our wedding with his best man in 3 weeks. He chose the Grand hotel for accommodation and catering, for 75 guests from around the globe. They went above and beyond what is expected, even for 5 star standard. He decided on a beach wedding (Silver... More

I visited just as a diner for an all day breakfast. The service was slow but the food was good although nothing exceptional that warranted the price of 9.95 for a breakfast. Monica was the only staff member who showed any friendliness the rest of the staff members were under dressed and unwelcoming
