Stayed here for one night in the luxury double at Knockree which had beautiful views over the mountains and of the sunset. Perfect for after a day of long walking and a couple of noisy nights in Dublin. The staff were friendly, there are really nice common areas and kitchens equipped with all you could need and little helpful extras... More

Spent a night there after a day on the Wicklow Way. Hostel was perfect, cosy TV room and lovely warm Bedroom; which was needed after getting very wet and cold on the walk. There was 5 in our group so we got a full room to ourselves which was nice. Kitchen was a little small but well stocked with utensils... More

It's a typical Youth Hostel like I remember them from my teenage years. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast (scrambled eggs, toast, cereal, juice, coffee, tea) was good. The room could definitely do better though. It was cold, the sheets/blankets were stained. The floor was also stained. There were quite a lot of spiders in the... More

I have previously stayed in this hostel and found it excellent. However, a few 'maintenance' issues urgently need sorted; UPPER FLOOR; 1) No light bulbs in TWO of the communal shower cubicles. 2) Door of the 3rd shower cublicle did not lock. 3) No window blind in dorm 8 (which opened out directly onto the rear car park). 4) Window... I stayed in the hostel for one night. The man who runs this place was really nice and I enjoyed my time there even though it was one night. Everything was really clean. It is probably the best place to stay if you do the Wicklow track. Next time I'll come back and stay longer.. Cheers Tobi

On my arrival to the hostel and entry into my room I noticed that upon the, very uncomfortable, bed that there was stains all over the cover on the mattress, in at least four locations. On the white, so called, clean sheets supplied by the hostel i noticed a blood stain at one end. The walls in the room were... More

Beautiful place - perfect after a long day of hiking and exploring stunning Wicklow. The lady running the place during our stay was lovely and so helpful despite being so busy. The room was spacious and comfortable. The dining room was great; very inviting with fresh flowers in little jars everywhere and don't forget the views! The self-catering kitchen is... More

We stayed in a family room with our daughters . The room was lovely. It was split level , with a loft area where there were 2 beds. Our own toilet and shower area too! The hostel is airy and clean . Views are amazing . We walked the Wicklow Way to get there and continued on the following day... More

Having not hosteled in sometime we were dubious as what to expect........ This place was great, great staff and beautiful location. Not too busy - so fridges and cooking all free to use at anytime. Everything you could need. As for 5 star, not so sure. we had the 'honeymoon' room which was lovely but next time think we'd go... More
