We have just returned from a 3 day mini break at the Arklow Bay. From the moment we arrived everything was just perfect. We arrived very early and knew we would not able to check in til later. The helpful receptionist offered to take our bags and offered us use of the leisure facilities. We got directions to the local... More

Went to see crystal swing. Good night but bar a complete rip off. 4.55 a pint in the lounge but 4.75 in the function room. Band played 10 until 12. At 11.30 shut bar with no warning and told to go to lounge. Only one bar person on as rest were closing back and cleaning. More interested in closing up... More

Stayed at hotel for a wedding and requested an early check-in. Was told bluntly it was not available. I rang back to see if there was somewhere to at least change clothes and was offered their leisure centre (not ideal ). When I arrived at hotel I again enquired if there was a room available ( it was now 1.30pm-... More

The Arklow Bay Hotel & Leisure Centre turned out to be the ideal location for a mini break with my two grandsons. From check-in where Amy was smiling, courteous and efficient through the restaurant, bistro, leisure centre and housekeeping staff - we did not meet a staff person who did not greet us with a smile, which was so lovely.... Previous reviewers have mentioned the tired rooms, I concur, the room we were in badly needs an updating, lots of mould on the shower, stained beds and table, but hey, for a hotel thats apparently in receivership it could have been a whole lot worse. Non Irish reception staff were wonderful, the Irish ones didn't seem to be very customer... More

We stopped off for lunch in this hotel and would have to recommend to any other group looking for lunch stop or even somewhere to stay. Tina with Manager was excellent to deal with. The service was brilliant and lunch was fab. Looking forward to our return visit in 2015.

I travelled from Bray Dart Station to Arklow. Turn left outside station walk 5 minutes to the bridge where there is a big Bridgewater Shopping Centre with Abrakebra/Eddie Rockets and loads of other eatieries, great clothes shops and a huge Aldi too. Cross the bridge and the Arklow Bay Hotel is 5 minutes from here. The hotel is big and... More
