A golf away break and a catch up with friends. Lovely place fantastic views.very lucky with the weather-sunny and warm. Arrived from Dublin in time for a bite of lunch served outside on the sunny terrace. The golf coarse is located just across the road. All very handy. Our accommodation was in the lodge across the road from the hotel.... More

We arrived on our first day, after a 4 hour delay in Heathrow airport, exhausted and jetlagged. When checking in, we were upgraded to a larger room in the upstairs of the main building, with a balcony and sliding doors with a great view of the golfcourse and gardens, mountains in the distance. Birdsong everywhere. We went up for a... More

We stay here quite a bit on the golf package & this time brought our families with us. We are used to the friendly staff & the beautiful setting but sometimes over look the old world charm of the hotel itself. Our families didn't and everyone felt at home, welcome & comfortable straight away. Not many hotels manage that feat.... More

We have been here 3 years ago and loved every minute of our visit, so we wanted to revisit. It is perfect for golfers, situated next to Woodenbridge Gf and close to many others, The European if one to mention.. It felt just like coming home, we had room #113 this time, a big room with 3 beds so there... More

Stopped in for dinner on our way back from Glendaloch. The bacon & cabbage special was delicious as was the breaded & pan fried fish, the fish was so fresh it just fell apart. The portions were big and the chips were great, big chunky crispy on the outside chips, yum! The bacon was so good we went back for... More

Lovely setting on bridge over river. Hotel has charm and feels very authentic (over 400 years old) with lots of old photographs and paintings of the hotel through the years. Bar Food was excellent as was breakfast with lots of local home made wares included. Rooms at front of hotel seem to have best views over river and across valley.

Popped in on the off chance after shopping and wow an absolutely brilliant decision. Ate in the restaurant and just want to say the menu had a great choice . Chowder for starter , followed by the leg of lamb and finishing with baileys cheesecake. Very reasonably priced and fantastic value for the money. Sarah the waitress was very attentive... More
