We stayed for one night in a very comfortable room and also had a lovely freshly cooked breakfast. We had a lovely welcome from the proprietor who was very nice. The location is good with only a very short walk to the main shopping area.

The place is very well located, close to the train and bus station and next to the shops, pubs & restaurants. It's not a main street so it's fairly quiet and the the staff is very kind and helpful. Don't rely on Wifi though...

Stayed here for 1 night on a Saturday night as we were meeting up with a stags who were down from the night before and were staying in one of the hotels. We had originally booked for 5, Derek had originally re arranged rooms for us but at last minute 2 had pulled out and there was absolutely no issue... More

We arrived from Rosslare, stopped in Wexford town to get directions and the car wouldn't start, no diesel! Phoned the owner to get a taxi number but he wouldn't hear of it. He came personally and drove me around until we found a garage that sold me a can and some fuel. He then waited to be sure all was... More

Just to see Derek again, I would love to visit The Blue Door again. I had my best full Irish Breakfast there which is very important for me. Derek is an intelligent friend, you would love to speak with him and by the way he is a problem solver as well. My walking cane fell into the river when I... More

Happy with our trip to the Blue Door. Derek is friendly and accommodating. Helped arrange parking and found him nice to deal with. We were in a really large room, which was nice and had everything we needed. Tea/coffee biscuits etc, TV, toiletries. It is not a really modern or trendy B&B but I enjoyed its quirky style. We had... We arrived quite late, it was raining and we had no reservation. I saw the owner standing outside a blue door, near the building where we had just found a parking spot. He had a wonderful room available for us. Larger than we needed, but appreciated. Room was super comfortable. Breakfast was great, and his laid back manner was appreciated.... More

We chose this B&B because it had a large family room (double and two singles) and were not disappointed. The room had high ceilings and plenty of room with a sofa and tv in one corner. The bed linen was clean and crisp and the room generally was very clean. There are parking restrictions on the street which was busy... More

We stayed here as a stop over on our journey home and received excellent service from the owner. It is a clean comfortable B&B in the centre of Wexford with very good breakfast which was served early for us with no problem as we were catching the morning ferry from Rosslare. The family room is very large and well furnished,... More

Spent one night at the Blue Door mid June. This is a pleasant B&B in a good location in Wexford, close to the shops and restaurants. The room was small but clean and quite comfortable. It’s in a narrow street but we managed to get a park just opposite and were able to leave our car there during our stay.... More
