Really nice proprietor, helped us in with our bags gave good recommendation for Dinner etc. It's clear a lot of effort is going into this fine old Georgian property, just a shame that the restoration hadn't got as far as our room yet. While spacious, it was very dingey & gloomy. The carpet appears to have been soaked & then... More

Clean, nice and big room and toilet. Very friendly service, more than one could wish for. Delicious breakfast. Great location, in a quiet street. Free wifi. Excellent value for money. Nice pubs nearby.

I got the loft room and had a great time there. The toilet and shower were separated and very well cleaned.I had a good view to the street and it was very calm and had a good location in the middle of the town.

We had a couple of issues with our room such as a lack of heating (we're Latin and need extra heat!) and other things. Derek made it all Simple and seamless and offered solutions straight away. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast is great. Lovely stay!

We stayed for one night in a very comfortable room and also had a lovely freshly cooked breakfast. We had a lovely welcome from the proprietor who was very nice. The location is good with only a very short walk to the main shopping area.

The place is very well located, close to the train and bus station and next to the shops, pubs & restaurants. It's not a main street so it's fairly quiet and the the staff is very kind and helpful. Don't rely on Wifi though...

Stayed here for 1 night on a Saturday night as we were meeting up with a stags who were down from the night before and were staying in one of the hotels. We had originally booked for 5, Derek had originally re arranged rooms for us but at last minute 2 had pulled out and there was absolutely no issue... More

We arrived from Rosslare, stopped in Wexford town to get directions and the car wouldn't start, no diesel! Phoned the owner to get a taxi number but he wouldn't hear of it. He came personally and drove me around until we found a garage that sold me a can and some fuel. He then waited to be sure all was... More

Just to see Derek again, I would love to visit The Blue Door again. I had my best full Irish Breakfast there which is very important for me. Derek is an intelligent friend, you would love to speak with him and by the way he is a problem solver as well. My walking cane fell into the river when I... More

Happy with our trip to the Blue Door. Derek is friendly and accommodating. Helped arrange parking and found him nice to deal with. We were in a really large room, which was nice and had everything we needed. Tea/coffee biscuits etc, TV, toiletries. It is not a really modern or trendy B&B but I enjoyed its quirky style. We had...
